Loving the Speckled Brights Yarn (Part Two)
I love the speckled brights and blue yarn! I made a separate review for the products previously but wanted to follow up with a second review of the Speckled Brights colored yarn on its own now that i have finished a crochet project using 6 skeins of this yarn.
Overall the yarn is so easy to work with and has a beautiful color splatter design. I used this yarn to make another “6-Day Star Blanket” (Pattern by Betty Mcknit) and it turned out beautifully! Really enjoy this yarn and the soft and cushy texture the blanket has.
This completed blanket/yarn held up extremely well in the washing machine on the cold water and “delicates” settings. No change to the blankets color. Also air dried the blanket after wash and it still remained soft and neat looking once dry.

Twisted it is not
This yarn is okay but it's not spun very well and is prone to a lot of splitting of stitches. I have to take extra time to make sure my stitches are not split. I won't buy it again.

Rainbow bright is a terrible color way
The yarn is soft and it looks gorgeous on the skein. Then you actually work it up. There is almost no pattern to the repeats the orange is by the black giving Halloween pools in every project and the pastel purple doesn’t blend with the rest. I don’t know what they were thinking

Felts and tangles
I bought a skein of rainbow bright and it was knotted on the inside like nothing I've seen. Both ends were inside the skein and twisted around each other throughout the untangling process. Most of the knots were caused by felting, causing fibers to wrap around several strands of yarn. This yarn already felts quickly without it already doing so within the skein, before purchasing. It was beyond frustrating to deal with, and a third of the skein is unusable thanks to long-term tension in the knots. I know this is a value yarn, but that shouldn't inherently mean it's a bad product. I won't be purchasing Big Twist Value again.

Love the Speckled Blues & Speckled Brights Yarn!
While crocheting with the Speckled Brights & Speckled Blue yarn I noticed the yarn is soft, easy to work with, stretchy, and reliable. Both versions of this Big Twist yarn had minimal fuzz (fuzz expected with any type of acrylic yarns) and limited to no splitting happening. The tension and hook size you use with this yarn does make a big difference on curling or splitting tendencies, so I would recommended a larger hook size if your project starts to curl,, alongside a consistent but not overly tight tension. Usually I am hesitate on using acrylic yarn due to it’s tendency to split, but after using Big Twist’s speckled yarn, my mind is changed, I enjoy/love this brand for acrylic yarn projects now. My favorite part of this yarn is its soft texture and subtle color changes that build up overtime. Plus in person the stitches have a beautiful and clean definition. I’m currently using the Speckled Blues yarn to crochet the “6-Day Star Blanket” by Betty Mcknit, the project overall needs about 4-5 skeins of yarn, but i’m added photos of what the project looks like when using 1 skein and at 2 1/2 skein of yarn for an example on how far the yardage can go. I also added a swatch of the Speckled Brights yarn to show the beautiful change in colors it will have. Very satisfied with my purchase of this yarn and can’t wait to use the Speckled Brights yarn on a bugger project in the future!

Good value
The yarn is soft and it washed fine without any damage or color loss. I love the variation of color. As you can see it lends itself well to various projects. The yardage you get for the price is so reasonable! I did have a hard time frogging this yarn, but I think it was the BLO stitch that contributed to this.
