NOT canvas
Because the reviews were inconclusive, I went to the actual store and looked. This is not a heavyweight fabric. Not even what I would consider bottom weight, much less canvas. Fairly loosely woven. Does not have give vertically or horizontally, but diagonally it stretches 10-20% because of the looser weave. If you want a canvas weight fabric, go with the duck, it was much heavier. Would work for pillows probably, or curtains if you weren’t worried about light getting through. Not slipcovers or totes.

Best for clothing, not bags
This is a lightweight canvas best suited for clothing and other projects where you want drape rather than structure. I used 4 yards navy for the Closet Corral Blanca flight suit and it was the perfect weight for a full-length garment. It does fray easily so I recommend serging the edges before prewashing.

Canvas?
The material is very thin. Doesn’t feel like canvas at all. I wanted to make a tote but if I use only this fabric it will have no structure at all.
