Not as good as the old stuff
This batting is heavier than the one Joann used to sell. Even though the picture shows a pink package it now comes in a blue package and is different from the old stuff. The pink package used to say 4oz, but this package doesn't show any weight on it. I don't like it nearly as well as the 4 oz. they used to carry.

Great product
Love this batting. We use it for our church "Comforters Project". We make comforters for those who are hospitalized or in nursing homes. It is the most economical batting I've found!

polyester batting
Very economical. It was enough to use in two quilts with plenty of extra to use in a quilt not made yet! My longarm quilter likes this batting.

Soft and Crafty batting
The soft and crafty polyester batting works well for padding the chair covers I make.
Unfortunately, it is not always consistent in thickness from one bag to the next, but that can be overcome with more or less layers.

Fairfield Soft N Crafty Polyester Batting 48''x10
This batting was some of the best I have used. It was the same texture through out the roll. Sometimes you get some with very thin areas.

Works wonderful!
I had previously bought this batting while on sale and didn't use it right away. Once I did use it for a Christmas tree skirt (for a gift), I was amazed how easy it was to use. Since then I have used it for several baby quilts as well as place mats. Since using it, I plan to keep a good supply on hand so that I have plenty on hand for future project. This batting washes and dries well in the baby quilts. Whether dried in a dryer or on a clothesline outside, the batting did great! Thanks so much for a very versatile and reasonable priced product.

Just what I ordered
The batting was great to make tote bags. Nice and soft, yet strong. It was not too thin and not to thick to sew through. It was just right !

Just the right weight!
This 4 oz. batting is just the right weight & width for making quilts with very little waste. The 10 yd. rolls are easy to handle & each roll will make 5 or more quilts which is very economical.

charity quilts
I use the Fairfield Soft n Crafty Batting 48"x10 yds which is the perfect size for the charity quilts which I make. The baby quilts are for my community baby clinic and the lap robes are for a specific nursing home in my area. I have fun making these quilts. I use many different designs, so that it doesn't become boring. I use embroidery floss to hand tie these quilts about 4-1/2" apart, which keeps these soft and fluffy.

Affordable
I'm a member of a group at my church that quilts for donation to our local community. This is our go-to batting because it's affordable and just the right loft for our quilts. My local Joann's is quite close to our church and is very accessible to me. Having to order online and pick up at the store makes it even better.

Affordable and versatile
Our group at church makes prayer quilts for people who are undergoing some type of serious issues. All materials are donated, either by others or members of the group. This batting is just the right width for lap quilts or baby quilts and very well priced.

Price went up, quality went down!
I've been buying this same batting for the last 3 years. It used to be priced 40% less than it is now and was 1/2" thick. The price has been creeping up and the thickness went down to 3/8". Now it's barely 1/8" thick! It's almost unusable for the products I make (not quilts). I ordered 5 rolls of this for my last order and I will not be using this product again. I am so disappointed with the decline in quality. Charging so much more for a paper thin product is incredibly disappointing. I've had to source batting elsewhere.
