Nice product, poor packaging
While the product itself seems to be well made, it was not packaged but loose in the box so that the joints are not together and will need to be glued to try and use.

Glass not plastic!
I love the shadow box frames from Joanne's - they actually have glass and not plastic like some I have ordered from another store! The sizes and prices when on sale are fantastic and just what Had been looking for to frame my artwork.

Shadow box
I was a little nervous when I ordered this shadow box. When my package arrived I was pretty impressed with how well it was packaged and protected. But as soon as I opened it the next day to finish my mother's day project, the frame was dented and broken on a corner. I was really disappointed and didn't get to finish my mother's day project in time. Made the in store return only to find out that Joann's doesn't carry these in store.

The perfect shadow box
This is the perfect shadow box. I've used this one, in both white and black, for several projects and they are perfect every time. The depth is exactly right, especially if you want to fill it. You can remove the glass, which is nice, so you can clean it well. It also give you the option of applying vinyl to the inside, if that's your preference. The shadow box comes in a couple different sizes, so there is always one to meet your needs. The quality is really good; I've never had one with any imperfections. I haven't tried painting them, but I would assume that wouldn't be a problem to change the color. I truly love these; they are my go-to shadow box for projects.
