Huge lengths are threadbare
I bought 7 skeins from a single retail store. Insane variation in quality to the point the blanket looks like two different ones stitched together. One part of the blanket is plush, the other is threadbare and worn looking.
Would not recommend this yarn to anyone for any reason.

Check dye lots

Baby Blue Green looks dirty!
Throughout the yarn is a color that just looks dirty and dingy. I dont want to use this for a baby blanket gift.

A little disappointed
I received my order of Bernat Baby Blanket yarn in Baby Blue Green and was a little disappointed. Viewing the yarn online you cannot see that in addition to the blue/green and light aqua there is also a color that I really can’t describe. It is a dingy almost dirty looking yellowish color. Not at all what I expected.

Bernat baby blanket Little roses yarn
I made a simple beginner friendly baby blanket for a baby shower gift using 2 skeins of little roses. I also used a lil bit of bernat blanket vintage white yarn for border. Worked up pretty quickly. Only a few knots. End results were beautiful. I will buy more for future baby shower gifts.

Great Yarn just the shipping sucked.
I ordered the Pitter Patter and the Peachy colors. I got the pitter patter but the peachy has been missing for nearly 3 weeks now. No matter who I try to contact no one will give me an explanation as to why it still isn’t at my doorstep. I have Christmas to make with it and now I’m behind on making them. Thank you Joann’s for messing up my schedule and making me lose money.

Joann Cancels Items
Joann just randomly cancels items you ordered online. Joann shouldnt take the order unless they know its in stock. So annoying. I paid for nothing and now I have to babysit my bank account to make sure they refund me properly.

Too many joined pieces thin placed
I have crocheted for over 60 years. Never have I found so many joined pieces of yarn in one ball. I'm making a blanket for my great grandson and so far there have been six. The quality is substandard. The yarn is thick in some places and thin in others. Your quality has really gone downhill.

Pick up order
I don’t know what happened to this store but it is now very confusing. I ordered some yarn and it said it was ready for pickup. Then it said it was cancelled then I got another notification it was ready for pickup. I called the store and there is no order to be picked up. It’s so sad I really don’t want to shop there anymore. The store is always a mess.

Decreasing quality
I am an avid Bernat blanket fan, I buy a ton of yarn and use it for my small crochet business. But, I will no longer be able to buy online- some skeins are so thick and ‘sticky’ for lack of a better word, they are not stuff but stiff and even with my expensive crochet hooks some skeins are just awful and stick Terribly. Some skeins are fine but others have the fuzz only on one side of the thread… Bernat, fix the quality issues !

Knots Knots Knots
While the yarn is deliciously squishy and cuddly for a baby blanket in my over 40 years of knitting I have never had skeins consistently have not just one or two knots but multiple knots in every one. I called Yarnspirayions and was told that up to 3 knots is considered acceptable. I knitted an adult size blanket using over 40 skeins of DK yarn and not once did I come across a knot mid skein let alone 3. Just not okay.

Creates deliciously plush blanket but way too many knots
I knitted a baby blanket that is deliciously lush, plush and squishy. The only downside I found is that almost every skein has multiple knots, and by multiple I mean not just 2. I have been knitting for decades and while I am sure it happens every now and then I have never had a skein with single knot in it. I knitted a twin size blanket for myself in a worsted wool, using a size 6 needle. Not once in the over 30 skeins used did I encounter a knot. I have no doubt that the manufacturers quality control staff remove any skeins that are not one continuous thread. I actually called Yarnspirations, the company that sells Bernat. I was told that up to 3 knots per skein is acceptable to them. If I had more than 3 they would open an investigation. With 16 inches into a blanket what good is their investigation going to do for me? If you are okay with all the knots, it is a very fun yarn to play with. Because it is such a thick yarn using size 11 needle, you can't knit as quickly as with a finer yarn. The upside is that you cover a lot of ground with a lot fewer stitches. I wonder if the 3.5 oz skeins have the same multi knot problem.

I've bought several colors of the Bernat brand yard. One not I can understand but five in one ball is not right. One of the balls was so messed up that it took me a hour to get it straightened out.

Colors not as pictured, don’t match name
Misty jungle green is teal, not green as pictured or as name implies. Will be returning.
Vanilla is white, not creamy colored like you’d expect something called vanilla to be. Much brighter white than pictured.

Lovely Blue Yarn Review
I love this yarn! This is the 8th blanket I've made with it, and everyone that got one just loves it!! The yarn itself is really easy to work with, the colors are consistent and it crochets up quickly. Highly recommended!!

Unable to complete
I love the yarn except Yarnspirations did not send the same lot numbers so the skeins do not match. The blanket can not be completed. No where on the order does it say that the lot numbers may be different. To return the yarn i would have to pay shipping again. I will not purchase from here again.

Extremely soft and easy to work with
I have been using the Bernat blanket yarns for loom knitting and they have worked very well. Just finished a baby blanket using the Handsome Guy yarn. The yarn does contain knots but I don't think I have used any yarn that does not have a knot or two, in the two skeins I bought there was 3 knots, the downside is the one skein was horribly tangled but the second one was fine. I usually just leave the knots alone but in a few cases I have used some sewing thread to "sew" the ends together and have not had an issue with it. It is easy to spin these yarns into cakes to make them easier to use. I have also used these yarns in the past to make loom knit hats and they have turned out great.

Excellent for babies!
I love Bernat Baby Blanket yarn because it has a soft texture that is delicate on the skin. This product is great for making blankets of any kind and size my straight edges are getting better with each project I try. Highly recommended for first-time moms wishing to add a splash of color to their nursery.
