Best baby yarn
I've used this for many years, IMO it's the best acrylic yarn for preemie and baby wear out there. No problems with splitting or variation in thickness, it always works at 22 Sts to 4 inches on 4mm needles for me.

Not what I expected with this brand.
Am making some things for our first great grandson. Tried to follow directions on the label to find the end of yarn but could not pull a starting yarn from the ends. Finally used the outer wound end but that made the inner yarn fall out both ends. Was left with lots of knotted yarn and spent hours trying to unwind it. Finally saved about half and threw away balls of pieces and knots. Unfortunately I bought some blue of the same brand. Need to crochet baby things not waste time unwinding impossibly spun yarn.

I love this for baby blankets
This is one of my favorite yarns to use for baby blankets. They wash well, holds it shape and stays soft. They only drawbacks, is when you start a skein, it’s quite knotted inside so prepare to add extra time to undo the knots!

I really like this yarn.
I got this yarn to make baby blankets and clothes for my niece who is having a baby. I really like this yarn a lot. It is beautiful and easy to work with. And I like how it feels in my hands. I have antique white and little mouse and they are so beautiful. I just wish Joann had all the colors in stock. I plan to get the white and navy next. I love that they have more than pastels because most baby yarns have only pastels and very limited selection. But it is irritating to have to order some colors for shipping while others are available in the store.

Flannel and pink softee yarn
I will never buy this yarn again. Some skeins were soft , some not so soft . No consistency . Knotted very easily. Many dye flaws which bummed me out. Flannel is more of a baby blue than a gray flannel. Also each skein was cut and tied in different places to make a full skein. I spent more time on damage control then making the blanket.

I made a sweater with this yarn, it's okay. I really like the color navy because it changes colors in the sunlight. But unfortunately this yarn splits. Reading the reviews, people said that their yarn got tangled, or it wasn't a very consistent weight, however I didn't have those problems. Also it is very soft and not itchy, coming from someone with sensitive skin. Although, due to the other reviews being so negative, I would recommend trying this yarn out on a smaller project to see if you like it.

Beautiful yarn but Metal color is not silver.
Beautiful yarn however the metal color is taupe not a silver color! I did have to return it because I need silver but it was taupe, picture online isn’t accurate!

Inconsistent yarn weight and texture across colors
I would like to give this product 5 stars, but its weight/thickness/texture is inconsistent across colors. I have an Antique White and Soft Peach that are thick and fuzzy, closer to worsted in weight. Bubble Gum is thinner and very silky. Aqua and Lilac are in between. All were purchased at the same time, in March 2023. The differences are large enough that I have to use different knitting needle and crochet hook sizes to get the same gauge. That makes it difficult to combine the yarns in the same pattern. I actually prefer the texture and weight of the Bubble Gum, but I would settle for consistency.

Not all skeins are the same in texture.
I bought Bernat Softee Baby Yarn online for a baby blanket project. 3 skeins of white, 1 of rose, and 1 green. The white skeins are definitely a different fiber from the colors. Although I know they are all acrylic, the white is thicker and feels more like cotton than the silky look and feel of the color skeins. Disappointed.

Poor quality. Overpriced.
The yarn became a major disappointment because the thickness of the strand varied from #3 to #4, it fringes easily, splitting. Overpriced. I don’t recommend this yarn to anybody.

Disappointed with this yarn
I DO NOT recommend this yarn for your special projects. It continually splits and the yarn appears fuzzy.

Updating my disappointing review
To update...once I got the ball of knotted yarn untangled, after debating whether to return it all or not, I decided to try using one ball and see what happens. The yarn was easy to use and was of good quality. So far, pleased with the results of the sweater I'm knitting. Still worried about the other skeins of yarn. Some seemed rather bunched with a mess of yarn when I try to find the end. That's the drawback. Otherwise, seems good.

Disappointing
Haven’t knit much in a while but always used Bernat yarn in the past and found it the best. This yarn, sadly, wasn’t. Finding the end was impossible. Clumps of yarn were so tangled and knotted it took forever to fix! I was covered in fuzzy yarn, too, which had never happened to me with any brand of yarn. Very disappointed.

beautiful pastel
I really like Bernat Softee Baby Yarn. I make most of my baby blankets with this brand. The mint softee baby is so soft, so durable, and a beautiful pastel that fits well with so many other colours.

Tangled mess from
Too tangled
I'm making a baby blanket, using four colors of this yarn. 2 of them came out of the skein a tangled mess, impossible to untangle. I love the softness but the frustration using it is too much. Won't use this yarn again.

Super soft baby yarn
My first purchase of Bernat Softee Baby Yarn. Bought a variety to crochet scarves for toddlers. Thought the soft yarn would be better suited for skin around their neck and faces. It's lovely and soft, but that's also a drawback. It's SO soft it won't stand up to some crochet stitches. So, I did make a couple scarves with the Flannel and Grey Marl; made a beanie with the Grey Marl, and will probably use the rest in Baby afghans down the road.

Not great, texture varies between different shades
I bought this yarn to crochet a baby blanket, and I'm really not a big fan of it. For a yarn called Softee, I feel like it's really not all that soft. And the weirdest thing is, the texture and feel varies so much between 2 different shades of the same exact yarn. I bought lilac and white, and the lilac has much more of a soft, smooth feel, while the white is like a rougher less soft yarn and also feels a bit thicker and looks more dull. If I'd seen both of them without the labels on, I'd swear they were 2 totally different types of yarn. Kind of frustrating since I'm using them both for the same project, and expected them to feel the same.

My new favorite yarn
I've always used worsted yarn until I found out my daughter is having twins. This is now my absolute favorite yarn for anything. It's not too thin and not too thick, but oh so soft.

Hard to work with
The separates and no matter what I do the hook is constantly getting caught up on it causing extra lil loops. I’ve worked with 2 different yarns before and haven’t had this much of a problem. It really slows down the process.

The Pink Color is not as shown
I love this yarn, I really do. But I haven't seen the colors in store so some of this is on me. However, this pink color is much softer on the monitor. It is too bright in person. It looks like bubble gum. Please Bernat, catch up to the times, this color is so outdated. Softer, neutral pinks are the way to go. At least update the photo to reflect the true color.

Terrible quality
I bought the lavender. 3 skeins. Started making a intricate blanket for my granddaughter who loves purple. Immediately, it was fuzzing as I was working. It sheds and the last straw was, when I put it up to the light, it had a pure halo effect of fuzz. Yarnspirations gave me a credit for ten dollars after contacting them. Unfortunately, I will not buy yarn on the internet and will not use the credit, or Bernat, again.

Disappointed
I knit a lot of baby sweaters and tried this this week for the first time. Bought three balls. A navy, little mouse Brown and a grey marl. The yarn navy and brown splits badly. The grey marl was so much thicker than the other two. All three were knit on #6 needles.Size 6 on the navy and little mouse was ok but I felt like I had a "work out" on the grey marl, the yarn was too big for a #6, but didn't want to go up because of gauge. My stitches were so tight on the needle. The only thing I liked was the navy and little mouse had a slight sheen that I felt was favorable.

Awful yarn
Not at all good quality. It unwinds into a terrible matted mess. Different colors have different thicknesses. Never buy this yarn again.
