PERFECT!
I purchase these often. I use them to decorate the cars at work and also to write my daily tasks with on the wall. They come off EASY! I'm not sure how people are having any problems with these. They are clean, easy, and write beautifully! I will never try another brand.

I love the idea of a chalk marker
I love the idea of a chalk marker and the product works great. The only thing negative is that if you have let the marker sit on the chalkboard for more than an hour it stains the chalk board. I tried everything I could think of to get it off, but it still faintly remained.

Easy to use
I bought this chalk marker last week and was very excited to see how it would work on my chalkboard. I love how easy it is to use and how smooth it is on the chalkboard. The best way to get this off of the chalkboard is with a magic eraser.

Great on Non-Porous Surfaces
These work very well on non-chalkboard products. The package does not recommend use on a traditional chalkboard. They are excellent on chalk cloth products, white boards, mirrors and glass. Clean up with water, or with the "magic" eraser sponges (like Mr Clean)

So upset...
I bought a beautiful HUGE framed chalkboard for my kitchen and used these chalk board markers on it...only to discover...they DO NOT COME OFF! I cried actual tears. Horrible. Do not use these if you want to erase! You will ruin your chalkboard...very upsetting. Horrible product.

Will not wipe off with damp cloth
The packaging says it will wipe off with a damp cloth, this is not true! I started trying other household stuff in a moment of desperation, and nail polish remover works like a charm. Just don't rub too hard, you may remove the chalkboard paint. I hope this helps

Not for chalkboard
I, like the other reviewer, bought these because the JoAnne's site said they could be used for chalkboards. They can not. The packaging even says for whiteboards and other nonporous surfaces. Joanne's refunded me for this purchase because of their error. It will ruin your chalkboard.

Chalk markers NOT for regular chalk boards!
After purchasing a stylized chalkboard for my daughter's room, I purchased these, thinking (foolishly) chalk 'markers' would be so much better than actual chalk, since they'd be less messy, but just as fun to doodle with. Well, they are less messy, unless you count the need to bring the whole darn chalkboard to the kitchen to scrub the marker's 'chalk' off. They're colorful and easy to use, but SERIOUSLY HARD TO SCRUB OFF CHALKBOARDS!
If you're planning on using these for an advertising board outside that may get rained on, and you don't mind using some serious elbow grease to change the wording the next day, these would be great, since simple water doesn't seem to erase the design. For a dry erase board, these may work better. Granted, if I'd taken a better look at the back of the packaging, I may have read all that, but my daughter opened the package and tossed the wrapping, so for me, it's moot. At any rate, for permanent outer edge-type designs on a chalkboard, these would be great. For everyday doodling on an actual chalkboard, not so much.
