I prefer the tie-dye as a "solid" because it's easier to match up to many patterns instead of trying to match the color exactly. The tie-dye colors are a nice weight and thickness and add that extra warmth to my blanket projects. Really like the Blizzard brand.

The only suggestion I have is to specify if you need a certain length...I ordered the navy tie-dyed blizzard fleece (awesome color!) and it came in two large pieces. I was making 3-yard blankets; one of the pieces had to be sewn together to make three yards. It still came out perfect thanks to my mom! The coaches love the blankets! We had them embroidered at our local Sports Rack with the coaches names and date and lacrosse sticks. This is a perfect gift! Ordering online is easy and the delivery was in accordance with the date specified in the order. This was my first time ordering the tie dyed fleece...it really gives the blankets a pop!
