Bobbin Lace is a beautiful textile technique which uses multiple threads to create an open type fabric by twisting or plaiting threads. The result is unique and it is surprisingly simple. Kit contains 24 lace bobbins, DMC cotton thread, workboard, workstand, pins and illustrated instructions.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Known as terrible among lacemakers,teachers Intended many years ago as a child's kit at cheapest cost, the price has exploded to ridiculous. The bobbins are the only useful part. Find good teacher at library reference desk or Google IOLI. Get real tools on internet or make them yourself. Good directions are abundant on internet. JoAnn's is an excellent store for fabric.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not worth it I bought this kit several years ago on the recommendation of a needlework shop owner. This is not worth the money. The foam is too thin and the pins go right through it. Also there is no covering with this making it very difficult on the. Bobbin lace is typically done with white or cream coloured threads so if you have a white background it causes eye strain. You would need to cover it yourself. The "stand" is a simple piece of notched cardboard which is too flimsy to hold the foam properly. The bobbins are not bad. That would be the only good thing to say about this kit. Better off putting more $$ into buying a proper product. This will only cause frustration and poor results in your work.
