Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor milling I have used Boye needles for nearly 40 years and recently purchased a set of sz 8 double point needles. THREE of the four needles have large burrs on one of the points, making the needle snag the yarn. They're impossible to use properly and have your work look pretty.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I recently ordered two sets of Boye Double Point 7" needles in sizes 6 and 8. On the size 6 set one of the four needles was bent at least 20 degrees off of straight. On the size 8 set one of the needles had a very sharp metal burr on the point - had to use my husband's file to smooth it off so that I could use the set. I've used Boye needles for about 50 years and they have always been very satisfactory. Those old one were made in USA - these current ones are made in China and I feel that Boye-Wirght should have a more stringent quality-control in practice in place as it really shouldn't be JoAnn's obligation to check every set of needles they ship..
