Delicate brocade elegance
This fabric is beautiful! It's going to be a part of my first men's commision, and will be a royal vest for a Fantasy Ball in 2024. I'm learning new things about fabric and types of weaves, and from working with fabric like this before, I'm expecting the fabric to fray like mad on the ends. Cutting the pattern out with pinking shears, backing it with stury cotton or interfacing, and using french seams will be a must. The french seams will also finish the garment in a much more elegant manner. If I fuse it with cotton, the seams will also be more sturdy.

Beautiful But Prepare for Fraying
This fabric is beautiful and can actually work using either side (depending on your needs). I used the reverse mostly gold side as a lining and it’s perfect for what I needed.
Be prepared to finish the edges as it does fray like crazy.

I love this beautiful assemble, it is easy to work with and it's definitely a show stopper on any piece you make. This isn't my first time purchasing this fabric I can tell you that when Joanns do get it I try to purchase it all because it's very hard to find. Given the price it's worth of penny plus some I hope to find more colors.

Design has flaws
I thought this would be nice for the church. The brocade has areas where the design is not quite complete and the colors are stretched or the design off kilter. It would be nice if they took a bit of time to clean up the weaving errors.

Used for baptismal font skirt

Cremation Urn Pall
I made several palls (coverings) for an Urn for Cremations. We cover Caskets with a Pall during a Funeral in the Catholic Church. Unfortunately, Palls are very large, because they have to cover a Casket. But when someone is Creamted the Urn or Box containing their ashes is very small. So I made a small Pall for a Cremation Urn, for Funerals.
