Very easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this free in the mail for my honest review. This is my First time using a brothers machine and I have to say I was very happy with the brand. It was easy to set up and use and I have never used or owned an embroidery machine till now. With that said I think it’s a great beginner machine the only thing is the app looks old school not modern to me and I don’t like the fact that I have to pay to use the machine with all the perks. well For me I wouldn’t mind as bad if the app and designs were better. I need to get a different embroidery machine from brothers before I will feel like I really could compare it so I will be doing that and updating my review .

Wow honestly I’m amazed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love it! It's super easy to use and has the cutest built-in designs, like floral patterns and seasonal motifs. The machine is also compact, which is perfect for my small apartment.
I especially love the touchscreen display, which makes it a breeze to navigate menus and choose designs.
While the machine is usually quiet and stable, I did notice some vibration during use, which might affect the precision of the embroidery. But overall, I highly recommend. It's perfect for beginners like me, and it adds such a fun and creative touch to my projects

Very User Friendly
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m not a stranger to sewing machines and embroidery machines. I own one of each. But the embroidery machine I have is so complicated to use, that it just sits collecting dust. Within 5 minutes of opening the box, I had already stitched out the sample worth this Brother Skitch! I love that it’s controlled through an app. I can design anywhere I am and just send it to the machine when I get home! The only con I would say is that the stitch area is only 4 x 4. I’m hoping they’ll expand that size and offer additional hoops to fit. There is a subscription service. But you don’t have to have it to use the machine.

Not beginner
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is not a beginner machine! This is great with a lot of practice. The free app is okay but limited on what you can do. I enjoy this but it's not something you can just pick up and use!

Waste
I brought this machine in November 2023 and I just starting using it in Jan. 2024 due to my son passing in Dec. I am upset with this machine the bobbin housing and case keeps opening on its own. I looked at videos and nothing support my concerns. The free arm is great the Bluetooth connection will not save this machine on my ipad. I have to keep signing in and register. WOW to much trouble.

awesome machine
This machine is amazing! I have embroidered several items already. The only down side I can see it that it is very difficult if not impossible to embroider something that's fully made.

Pain in the you-know-what
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I spent way more time than I'd like to admit getting this machine set up. Once I did have everything ready to go, I started the first sample project, which was a moon. It got about ten seconds into the project when the top thread came out, and I had to rethread it. Once I got it rethreaded, the second time, it finished the project in the indicated time. The second project I tried was a free dog bone. It got three minutes into the 20-minute project and stopped because the needle broke! What. The. Heck. Brand new, out of the box, and it breaks a needle on the first go-around... I'm not fond of this machine, and it seems to be poor quality. I probably will not use it again, and I will give it to someone else who has more patience.

DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE!
I purchased this machine specifically because it was for beginners. I took an entire day reading the manuals and watching the instructional videos. I had reservations because of the reviews but it appeared they were more concerned with it being app ran and not performance or quality, I didn’t mind it being app ran because that’s just kind of the territory with craft machines nowadays.
This review is about the quality and lack of customer service you will receive if you face any problems or faulty equipment with this machine. Joann’s has a no return policy if you open the box but how will you know if anything is wrong with the machine without opening the box. After many hours of researched decided to open the box and get going on day two after purchase. Everything appeared to go well until I accidentally opened the needle plate cover in efforts to install the bobbin. There was nothing wrong with opening the cover but I noticed it doesn’t fit back on with ease and the sides were not flush with the machine. I attempted to reinstall the plate several times but figured maybe it was that way before o removed it because it did click close and the machine didn’t give any warnings. Long story short after threading the top and getting a design sent to the machine the threads were tangled underneath the plate, the needle broke, the presser foot was down when the machine went into full lockdown safety mode. There were troubleshooting alerts that come up on the app but the suggestions were out of reach of what I could do. For one the hoop was stuck under the presser foot and there is no manual presser foot release button. Since the loaded hoop was there I couldn’t check the bobbin thread area or check and change the needle like the app suggested because the machine was locked for safety. So all the buttons used to move the needle up didn’t work. After calling Brother CS, the young lady tried to help to the best of her ability but still after a long time of emails and photos back and forth only came up with taking the machine to a service center. After calling the service center to see when they are open, the service center guy let me know how “he doesn’t have any parts” for the machine because of how new it is, his suggestion was to go back to Joann’s and “press” them for a new machine. This is the worst experience ever oh not to mention Joanne’s had the price of the machine listed at $749.99 in the store….not $499.99 like it is suppose to be. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE you have absolutely no recourse if you open the box and anything is defective. Brother has a lot of work to do and should not sell through Joann’s since they know it’s a new machine that might have problems and Joann’s won’t exchange the machine.

Easy, once setup. This could get addicting! Have to pay for some designs, but that’s ok.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Went through app settings. I read instructions- threading was easy. Picked the heart for trial, turned out nice. Will continue to play with it.

Brother Skitch Single Embroidery Machine
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this free complimentary from Influenster and Brother Skitch Single Embroidery Machine for my honest review. How cool is the Brother Skitch Single Embroidery Machine. I myself used to see my grandma using her old singer sewing machine. I never really learned how to use it. But this will bring back memories that I will cherish forever. I'll definitely try to use my Brother Skitch Single Embroidery Machine.

So easy to use!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love the idea of a smart embroidery machine. This machine connects through an app called Artspira and it’s so neat. All you have to do is pick the design of the embroidery, which they have so many, you can also make your own designs which makes it such a fun and creative activity. This machine definitely makes embroidery so much easier, and is good for everyone even beginners like me. It honestly works so great and I’ve had zero problems so far. I love creating new things for my family and they love it too. Such a high tech sewing machine.

I was expecting more
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to receive this embroidery machine free for testing purposes, however, I was kind of disappointed. Setting it up at first was pretty easy. Then, threading the top half of the machine proved very challenging. My sample embroider of a heart went well. Then, when I went to embroider a flower on a tank top, the thread kept breaking. I had to re-thread often. The glitches kept making imperfections and the embroidered flower. Maybe I am not threading it correctly. I tried to follow the video that was shown, but it's hard to see exactly where the thread goes.
I love the concept, by the executions, just not as good as I expected.

AMAZING
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I mean- it feels like you are living in the future. You can draw a picture on your iPad and it can be stitched onto a shirt!!! Crazy!! The program to do this is a subscription model- so there are some hidden fees. It’s free for the first couple of months and I
believe more apps will start to work with it (so those might be free).

Brother brother, you can do better than this
I like the machine but it needs better software more fonts better pricing for the program at least that we can add her own fonts and maybe size it’ll look better and for the future we will need more hoops bigger sizes maybe something to add for the caps as well so far I like it. If I could read it, it would be like a six out of 10. The other temporary machines I love the new hoop attachment for the price.

Not for beginners
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have little to no experience with embroidery, but originally thought this embroidery machine would be great for a beginner like me. I was wrong. While it has cool features, like the fact that you can use an app with it, it’s not very user friendly and comes with a lot of instructions to follow. If you already have experience with embroidery machines, it may be easier to use. If you want to embroider quality designs, you will have to pay a monthly fee to use the premium version of the app, as the basic version is truly bare minimum and not great. It’s not the most expensive embroidery machine out there, but if you’re going to spend the money, it may be worth looking for another option.

Embroidery!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Look, i am NOT the most creative . I like to be . It is fun but challengingat times. I worked with this machine for a bit. I got it all paired to my bluetooth and through the Artspiria app. Easy ! Actually embroidering was not so easy . Im sure once I keep messing with it , the easier it'll be . Its interesting what it can do . At this particular moment I have yet to be successful. It is good to pass the time .

Cool product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a nifty little embroidery machine, easy to use, the only downfall is that you can only embroider a 4x4 square, no larger. Would have given more stars if I could do a bigger area

I’m OBSESSED, this machine is SO much fun!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been absolutely HOOKED on this machine since it arrived. The Brother Skitch PP1 Single-Needle Embroidery Machine is a high quality machine, easy enough for someone with pretty basic sewing machine knowledge. The set-up was easy, with multiple versions of instructions available - in print with the machine, a quick-guide that came with the machine, and lots of QR codes linked to videos. It’s super important to have fabric stabilizer, and fabrics that holdup well to embroidery. The Artspira app free version is ok - but there aren’t many options for good images or fonts in the free version. I purchased the app service to access many more fonts/images and have enjoyed it. The machine tangles quite a bit, so I’m hoping with more practice that it will run for longer embroidery runs without jamming…right now I have to sit next to the machine and rethread the top quite frequently. Embroidery on loose-weave tea towels was a nightmare 😅 I am going to have to order much more dense towels. Overall, I LOVE this machine and I want to order many more sizes of the hoops (they are SPENDY!). Treat yourself to a large rainbow of embroidery thread so you can embroider any design you want. I would suggest to order a bunch of back-up replacement needles to have on-hand too. This would make an EXCELLENT gift for a craft-lover, and you can also make incredible gifts WITH this machine. I highly recommend this machine!

Great Machine
I like the machine, I wish the hoop was 5x7 & wish the artspira app was available on the PC. Other than that I like that this is a free arm embroidery machine, love the magnetic hoop. I hope all future embroidery only machines will be made with the free arm feature & include magnetic hoops.

High quality app based machine
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is really great to use. It allows you to create designs using an app. Only downfall was that if you wanted to do more designs you did have to pay for a subscription on the app but otherwise this does things from soft hats to shirts and more.

So Far so Good
So far after figuring out a few important steps this N.A. hone is working out fine. Would like to see where if a design uses a color multiple time you could combine so you don't have to rethread
