Bad yarnThis yarn was awful! When I would knit my arms and hands would hurt so bad. Bad reaction to whatever the yarn is made from. Not going to finish my project and never will buy Caron yarn again!

My favourite go-to yarn!I’ve been buying this particular yarn for years and it’s my favourite! I use it for all sorts of projects, from baby clothes to blankets and home decor, and I love how it works up and is so durable! All of my projects wash up beautifully and retain their shape. I get many compliments!

Stiff & scratchyI bought this yarn to make a baby blanket. It is so stiff & scratchy to work with. My blanket feels like a piece of cardboard. I am just hoping that it will soften up with washing. I will not be buying this yarn again.

This color thoughI get more requests for this color than any other one. It’s pretty much black, but so much more interesting. The yarn itself is very versatile and I enjoy buying these large ones for big projects like pocket shawls.

Overall very pleasedI've used Caron One Pound for quite a few projects and working from the skein is inconsistent texture wise. It runs the gamut from soft to scratchy - however, once the project has been washed, the texture is consistent and very nice. Very happy with the price for the amount of yarn - this is an economical and sturdy choice especially for large projects like baby blankets and afghans.

Not availableThis color is not available in my area or the 3 States near me. If it has been discontinued, please remove it from your site. It’s not pleasing to plan a project to discover that the ONE color you need is “not available.” Do better, Joann’s!

Just an OK yarnI bought the colors dove, deep violet, kelly green and medium gray. I have not used the medium gray. I have used the dove, deep violet and kelly green. First, I love the dove color. The center pull was easy to find. I encountered a few knots but nothing too bad and it's fairly soft. The deep violet had an easy to find center pull, is scratchy and varied in thickness throughout much of the skein. The kelly green was a mess trying to find the center pull so I gave up and used from the outside which is difficult. It was also scratchy and varied in thickness throughout much of the skein. In all, the afghan I am making is acceptable, I will not buy the kelly green or deep violet online again. I'll go into JoAnn's and purchase if the skeins have improved.
