Baby blanket
I am making a baby blanket for my son’s baby that is going to be born in April. I ordered 9 skeins of yarn. I got through 7 of them for this beautiful blanket and the last two skeins were the same color but a different feel of yarn and could not use them. So I’m 2 skeins short. Went to the store. Nope. Not there. So I have had to order 10 more in the hopes that I can get at least 2 or 3 more to match the hard work I’ve already done. When you order on-line. All the dye lots should match. I’m so disappointed.

Pretty and Soft
Caron Simply Soft is my go-to yarn when I want soft, worsted-weight acrylic. This is the first time I have worked with the Ombres yarn, and I like how the color changes vary. Some people find that Simply Soft splits when working with it, but for me that hasn't been a big problem. Most other mass-produced acrylic yarns I've worked with split just as badly and are much more scratchy and stiff.

Good Yarn, Great Color
This is a great soft yarn at a good price. I'm using it for a Halloween project and it's perfect. The colors are rich and true, the ombre leaves a nice subtle striping pattern, and it's nice to work with.

Poorly variegated
Because the yarn is so soft and I am making a baby afghan, I will give it 2 stars instead of one. I have NEVER seen a variegated yarn that is less variegated! I got huge amounts of the same color and then it would switch to another color then back to the first one. My pattern is in 9" blocks and I probably have 5" of the same 2 colors. When if finally switched back to the darker color, there were places that I got 3-4 stitches of another color, then back to the darker one. Maybe it is because I bought this at a variety store and not JoAnn's, but I am very disappointed. Buyer beware.

Love this soft yarn!
I was afraid to use it for a baby blanket, I got this some time ago, and decided to finally start a baby blanket with the Blue jean ombre and it’s coming out beautifully. Ever so soft and cuddly. I highly recommend this yarn. I also made a poncho which I like very much. Definitely will be getting more for future projects!

The colors in the ombré line of this yarn are quite lovely. The yarn is very soft and easy to work with. It has a slight sheen. I will be buying Caron simply soft again!

Not gold!
I ordered this in gold online because it is not sold in stores. I wish I could have seen it in person, because it is orange, not gold. The colors in this yarn are peach, orange, bright orange and terra cotta.
I love the simply soft yarns, because they are easy to work with and there are a lot of colors to choose from. I still used this color, because I make afghans to donate to a local charity. But I would be very disappointed if I got this yarn wanting gold tones to go with my decor and ended up with oranges instead.

I used this exact color and yarn for slightly slouchy beanies and I also used it for a kitty bed which she loved! It's soft, light enough for a beanie and strong enough for cat bed. I recommend this highly for any project.

Love the color and the feel but the yarn is splitting. I'm reasonably certain that I should not be able to see each of the 4 strands. I'm going to assume that it is simply a bad skein since I have never used this brand of yarn before.

Love the color
I saw this yarn and fell in love with the orange gold color. So I bought it not knowing what to do with it. I found a beautiful scarf pattern and I love it. I like the feel of the yarn. It does split some of you have to rip out and redo. But otherwise it is perfect. I am looking forward to trying this scarf with the other colors as well.

This is perfect for a beautifully toned crocodile stitch crochet. I made a hat. I've made a hat in the green and orange. Next I believe I'll try the stormy weather one. This yarn is wonderful. Soft and gorgeous colors.

Love how this makes up! I'm doing a scarf in the Vertical Herringbone Stitch with garter borders (6 stitches) each side so it won't roll. Making 2 pieces and will join together seemlessly. Gorgeous! So happy with the color and feel of this yarn!

Perfect color combo and so soft too!
I bought several skins of this yarn while working on a large project. This yarn knits up very soft and is easy to work with. I like the price too which helped because I had to use a lot of skeins. The Mermaid Tail Cocoon Blanket that I made turned our perfectly!
