Love & Hate
I really love the feel and softness of Simply Soft and it makes up beautifully. HOWEVER- it stretches so-o-o badly when the final garment is laundered that the sleeves need to be rolled up and it lengthens by 3”. Therefore, I try not to wash my sweaters and always warn any recipients not to, either. I’ve stopped using Simply Soft for gifts for that reason.

I almost exclusively use Simply Soft. I thought that whatever made this yarn "sparkle" would detract from the softness but that was not the case. Pretty and soft, too!

I used the grey to make shell st arm warmers for New Years Eve. So pretty! I've been knitting & crocheting for over 40 years, and I never thought I'd get sparkly AND soft yarn. I'm allergic to wool (not lanolin), alpaca, and most animal fibers, so finding a soft acrylic is a true blessing for me.

Put sparkle in your knitting for winter holidays!
Looking for a yarn with a subtle sparkle for knitting or crocheting winter holiday accessories? I use this ultra-soft, worsted weight, acrylic/polyester yarn for knitting holiday chemo hats for women and children at my local medical center. The color selection is great for Christmas, New Years, Hanukkah, or Kwanza.
This yarn knits beautifully (see photo) in spite of the metallic-looking polyester strand trying to separate from the acrylic strand at times. Since I have never kept a hat for myself, I don't know how well the yarn holds up to washing. I put the fiber content and "hand wash, air dry" on my gift tags. After 5 years, no negative feedback.
