My Favorite Yarn!
My most favorite yarn!! Most of my yarn stash is Caron Simply Soft!! Feels great, a little silky and has a slight sheen. Has an amazing range of beautiful colors, too!
I mostly make hand puppets and amigurumi. Strands can tend to split but not enough to be bothersome.

Beautiful and comfortable
The yarn is so sold and comfortable. You absolutely wear whatever you’ve made for long periods of time without itching or scratching. There are so many beautiful colors that are extremely vibrant!

Extremely strandy, frustrating to work with
This yarn feels soft on the skein, but that’s where the positives end. It’s very frustrating to work with because it’s soooo strandy. It constantly snags on the hook while crocheting and then weaving in the frayed ends is a nightmare. The worst part is that my finished projects with this yarn aren’t even that soft. They’re more itchy and fuzzy than anything. So disappointing.

Delivery sub par
Paid for express shipping and that did not happen. Still waiting for product, ordered on Dec 15 still do not have it on the 21st. This is the 2nd time I had issues with an order. My suggestion is to pick up store, since delivery seemd to be an issue

Order never came
I ordered 3 skeins of yarn on December 4th 2023. On December 8th it was still processing. I contacted customer service and received a message that things were slow and I should receive a shipping notice in a few days. It is now December 19th. My order is still 'processing' and they have ignored all subsequent attempts to contact them. Really, really bad customer service.

Beautiful
I stumbled upon this yarn during the pandemic and bought the last two skeins of soft blue on the shelf. The baby blanket was simply beautiful! Since then, I’ve made several different projects. All beautiful. The first two skeins had a few knots but none of the skeins after those skeins had knots.

Love this yarn
Although I love this brand of yarn…I placed an online order over 3 weeks ago and the order is still processing. I have emailed 4 times with no response back and have called once with waiting on hold for Al ost an hour. I was told the order would be expedited and that was 2 weeks ago and my order is still processing. Itis nearly impossible to reach customer service. I needed my yarn order for projects that have a deadline. My deadline is over so now I am trying to reach customer service for a refund. I am very disappointed in Joann fabrics customer service.

Stands the test of time
I bought this yarn three years ago (yes, 3) to make a blanket for my first grandchild. I bought because of the color and the softness of the yarn. I decided to wait before submitting a review to see how it held up. After nearly 3 years of regular use and machine washing, it still looks almost new! There is almost no pilling and it's still very soft. I'm going to order more for a blanket for a friend's first grandchild. Caron's Simply Soft is simply wonderful!

Soft and Colorful
I love Caron Simply Soft yarn and use it for so many of my projects. As many colors as you offer, it's still nit enough. I am especially looking for a soft yellow, soft orange, and soft purple to complement your Soft Pink, Soft Blue, and Soft Green. Please add them to your color palette.

Caron simply soft yarn
I would like to write a review of this item but I have yet to receive my order. I placed my order on November 19th and I only received part of it. The autumn maize yarn was the main part of a project and it has not arrived. When I look it says my order was delivered but I only received part of it. Very disappointed

Worst stuff every purchased
The yarn is terrible, It splits, doesn't transfer easily from needle to needle and produces a poor quality of knitting. I am using last skein on #4 needles making mittens. Want to use it up and not have it taking up space around here.

Quality has gone downhill
Really disappointed in the quality of this yarn, I have used it for years, I made a doll poncho and put fringe around the edge and I could not get any type of length without creases and bending in the yarn, i just kept pulling off the skein and could not get around the kinks.

Love This Yarn
I tried this yarn after an unpleasant experience with the Big Twist brand and I could not be more happy. The yarn is soft and smooth with a wide variety of colors, but perhaps my favorite quality is that IT pulls from the center and unravels itself perfectly as you go. No need to ball the yarn ahead of time if you don’t want to. I’m on my 3rd skein of lavender blue and have not had one single snag, knot, or tangle.

Simply Wonderful
I inherited quite a few skeins of Simply Soft from my Mom but hesitated to use it because I'd heard so many rumors that it was splitty and hard to work with. I finally decided I would give it a try and was I pleasantly surprised! While I did have to pay closer attention to keep from splitting the yarn, that is probably why it is so soft, with a wonderful drape. The colors are vibrant and worked very nicely for this large corner-to-corner (C2C) project - I purchased a couple additional skeins in different color lots to complete it, there wasn't a noticeable difference.

Never again
I was using Caron One Pound for a project and wanted to add accent color. Purchased simply soft in dark sage. Nowhere near the thickness of the one pound and yarn constantly splitting and unraveling. Never again!

Super soft
I love the softness and the many color options. I primarily use it to make baby afghans. Only complaint is it splits easily when using Bates crochet hooks (my favorite brand) but not quite as much with Boyle.

Very High Quality Yarn
I work with several different kinds of yarn - all high quality yarn. But this yarn tops them all. There are never any knots, like I find in other expensive yarns. This yarn is a delight to work with -- so soft and sleek and easy to knit. The finished product also shows that this yarn is top quality. I am a very experienced knitter, and I don't want to waste my time on anything but the best.
