Strong and beautiful colors. I have no problems using this brand in my sewing machine! Expensive though!

Smooth sewing.
I was concerned how well this thread would be. I have used the 250 and 500 yds. Seems to go through the fabric smoother.

Nice thread
Great quality thread. I loved it so I bought a few more colors. Easier to just put on a mask and gloves and GO TO joann. Their online store is not very fun right now and things are taking way longer than youd think to get them. Just go in.

Hassle, big time, to return and exchange
Great ....for embroidery, —however Not all the website listings mentioned this thread is intended for machine embroidery so I missed that when ordering and had to return my order. The packing slip has no return info and the website does not either so I needed to submit an email to “contact”. That would be ok except they state it takes 4-5 days for a reply and it sure did. Should not be this much of a hassle.

Not too shabby
I enjoy using Coats & Clark embroidery thread, but this time I had changed my mind due to the color was to light. Other than that, it would have been great.

Coats and Clark Machine Embroidery Thread
This thread is beautiful! Lustrous and colorful, it was perfect as a quilting thread on my granddaughter’s Bright Hope quilt. It does produce some lint and my machine had to be blown out and retreaded from time to time, but the effort was worth the end result. I plan to use this thread for many projects.

Steal of a deal
I buy this thread for most of my embroidery. It works great, and I haven’t had issues with it. I just wish there were more colors to choose from.

Thread works well, but...
The thread will shred at times, but that's likely user error. What's not user error is the discontinuation of various embroidery thread colors recently. If you're using this brand, be weary of availability of your colors.

Does the Job
I've used several of these and find they do the job. Problems that tend to happen with them, excessive looping in embroidery and if a project is stopped in the wrong place due to the design if feeding normal and not from a stand the thread can slip forward and get caught when you restart and if not caught right away expect your needle to get snapped.
It looks very nice. I haven't had too many problems with the string breaking. Is a thinner embroidery thread so if used for FSL you may need a new bobbin casing to handle it.

too thin, breaks VERY easily
I bought 2 spools of white for FSL snowflakes. I loaded it into my machine, and it broke after about 100 sts. I moved it to a thread stand, same problem. I slowed the machine to only 400 spm, same problem. I changed needles, same problem. I believe the weight of this product is actually much finer than 40 weight. I plan to return this to my local store.

Perfectly fine embroidery thread!
I think some people are talking about using this for serging and I believe this is meant just for machine embroidery. When I starting doing machine embroidery I was familiar with the brand for sewing thread so I started buying this thread, never had any issue with it for embroidery. As I've progressed to more expensive machines I've been told "oh don't use that it sheds, its not good thread." I didn't think I could use this on a machine that had a horizontal holder but I was wrong. I use brother machines and what is more important is which way is the thread unwinding! I found out if I put the cone backwards on the horizontal holder it works just fine! Looks kind of dumb but it works! I recently bought the brother PRS100 and it works fine with the machine, the cone type works better with this machine. I actually had more problems with the regular Madeira spools! Plus the interesting thing was that the pre-wound bobbins that came with the machine were made by Coats & Clark! So I would say give it a try and see you may like it! I do!

Tangles coming from spool
I bought this thread a few days ago to repair a shirt. I thought something was wrong with my needle or sewing machine, so I decided to get more thread and use my serger. The thread falls below the spool and wraps around the post. This causes a halt on all systems. I finally finished my project by serging an inch at a time. I won't be buying anything on a spool like this again!

Beautiful color choices, good quality, great price
I love this thread. Really it is just about the only thread I use. I have never had a problem with it that wasn't operator error. The only thing I wish is that there would be a color name on the spool, or even if it was easier to find the name or the shade of the color online. Sometimes I run across embroidery designs that have color name or number, but of course its generally not Coats & Clark number so it can be difficult to match up at times.

Works as well as Janome thread
I have a Janome Embroidery Machine and started out with using only the Janome threads, but I cautiously began to give these Coats & Clark threads a try and am so happy with them. I've since used over 30 different colors and they've all been great. They are so cost effective that I only buy these now. They have a pretty good selection of colors, but I hope they'll continue to come out with more!
