Suitable for Hand-Sewing!
I bought this thread with the intention of hand-sewing a cosplay, and thus far it's held up well. It's smooth and not at all hard to sew with, thought I can't guarantee its strength. It hasn't broken yet for me, but I also haven't been putting it under a lot of pressure. All in all, I was very satisfied with this product!

I usually don't write bad reviews but this was soooo bad. The absolute worst thread I have ever used & I have been sewing for 35 years. This thread had knot after knot coming right off the spool. I am very concerned that a serious injury could occur using this thread if you are sewing & a knot causes a needle to snap & end up in your eye. I ended up throwing it in the trash. I love most everything I've ever purchased from Joann's but this was not a good purchase. Please be careful when using this thread.

Retirement
I've become a thread hoarder. I bought a rainbow of thread colors for my new serger. After 40 years of being an operating room nurse I have retired. My new full-time job is sewing for my four granddaughters! I still get up at 5am but I am not donning scrubs.

Best overlock thread ever!
I use Surelock overlock/serger thread for all my sewing projects and it works great. Doesn’t break like some other serger threads I have tried. I used to use regular or specialty threads in my sewing machine but found it getting expensive and was looking for an alternative. Serger thread fit my budget but other brands I tried were so flimsy I could sew only a few inches of seam before the thread broke and I had to rethread the machine. Then I discovered Surelock and haven’t looked back since. You can tell it is stronger than others simply by pulling a length from the cone and trying to break it. Others break easily, Surelock doesn’t. I first bought it at Walmart before online shopping became popular.
