Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great item Love it. It came sooner then I was told. It did everything I read and it wasn't hard to figure out

Rated 4 out of 5 by from punches through anything!!! I love my crop-a-dial long arm punch, it works well. Mine came with a case, and to store it away you need to remove the feet... they slide off. But it is a hassle, so about half the time I don't put the feet on, but the the punch is top heavy and unstable while trying to place a deep set hole.... several inches from the materials edge. But once you get past the either feet off in the case or feet on and skip the case inconvienence, the punches, and sets, function well. This allows you to put holes and eyelets in the middle of a scrapbook layout; which is what I wanted it to do.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love/hate I bought this tool with great expectations because I already owned the crop-a-dile and corner chomper. I only used it once because it seemed so bulky and in order fo me to see what I was doing I had to pick it up and hold it in the air to line everything up. It works wonderful for punching and does the job but it is not for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I love this product. It comes in handy for everything from scrap booking, making cards to making booklets. I even use this product for work. Great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy Duty Stuff! :) I've had my Crop-a-Dile for many years now. It stands the test of time! I love the little ruler on the body of the item, along with the variety of holes you can make with this tool. The longer "neck" means you can fit so many things into the punch!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from selling products The people at Crop-O-Dile recommend using an eyelet washer for the backside of difficult materials. I am not sure why I could not purchase them at the website and Joanns carries almost none of their fabulous tools, but if you can find them that should take care of the backside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Consumer I absolutely LOVE this tool! It can do everything from small eyelets to large eyelets. It comes with a chart that tells you what sides of the cubes (one on the bottom and one on the top) to use. I absolutely would buy this for a friend!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Great for Scrapbooking I read the reviews before buying the Big Bite and probably wouldn't have bought it except that it was $10. At first try (on scrap cardstock, doubled), it ruined the eyelet. Then I tried not to press down so hard and it looked a bit better. I tried again, "feeling" as I went along and the eyelet came out reasonably well. It does take a bit of practice. I haven't had a "perfect" one yet, but I place ribbons or other things in the holes, and you can't see the back. For the amount of money I paid it does a good job on my Handmade Albums, especially the Mini's.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Still doesn't work for eyelets I read all the reviews and tried the C and 4 setting on the machine. My eyelets and snaps still didn't split right and parts of the back of the flares broke off. My guess is that it worked for people who purchased memory keepers embellishments, it didn't work with my generic and Joann brand embellishments. Overall, for $15 that I paid (on clearance elsewhere), I'm still sticking with my sticking with my handheld setter.and returning this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love it I just bought my big bite a couple days ago and fell right in love. It's so easy to use would be great for someone with arthritis not hard to squeeze at all.Love it,love it,love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crop-A-Smile No more smashing my fingers with the old hammer. I love this tool...with everything that it can do my favorite thing is the 2 sizes of hole punches that can be placed just about anywhere (without the smashing fingers thing.) It easily cuts through material to put snaps in or gromets. I really like that it stands up by itself, with the feet attached. The only thing that is confusing is what settings to use for what items. But, hopefully I will improve with more use of it for different things.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great tool! This product does everything it says it would and is so easy to use. It makes me wonder why people are having a hard time with it. I love it and now that I have it couldn't do without it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT! This is a GREAT tool! I can't believe how easy it is to use, and what a great job it does! I was concerned because there were so many negative comments, but decided to try it anyway. I can't imagine anyone having a complaint about it! The directions are right on the insert in the package, and are very clear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a Dream Come True! I am so surprised at the negative reviews. I'm a new scrapbooker and the only other tool I've used for eyelets is the MM Instant Setter (which I hated!)and then I bought the Big Bite (for its' reach). I was AMAZED with this tool! It works so well and it's so easy! My eyelets are pressed so clean and neat in one very easy squeeze. I it may be because there are virtually no instructions included. You have to find the settings blocks on top and bottom and when set right, I can't see how anyone can have a problem with it. I'm new at this and I simply punched a hole with it, put my eyelet through the paper, grabbed my Big Bite and in one easy squeeze, VOILA! Beautifully flattened eyelets! Give it a try!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from UGGGGH! I was so excited to try this new tool and was sorely disappointed with almost every aspect of it. it's so ugly in the back of the eyelets, unlike the old hammer and setter way (which leaves a nice flower, but awful sounds hammering away). and on top of that, the front of the eyelet gets deformed!!! yuck! if you don't push too hard, the front of the eyelet is okay, but then it's not completely "set" in. believe me, this product is not worth your time. we r memory keepers shouldn't have put out such a spoiled product until they made it completely right.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just had to have it, unfortunately... It is not as cool as I thought it would be. I just got it and I have ruined every eyelet I have tried to set. I have destroyed several tags and gromlets (just practice tags but still!) It is silent but confusing. The instructions are more like destructions - not very informative, sorry. I will work with it more and see if I get it. I might just have to go back to my very LOUD spring loaded eyelet setters. The Designer gromlets made for this thing work with it because they are just 5 prongs that get set/pushed back but they are pretty cool looking - if you can figure out where you are setting them! Sorry, it has not been a GOOD EXPERIENCE with this and I think it cost too much to be this DISAPPOINTING!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HOW NOT TO SMASH YOUR EYELETS!!!!! ...well....like many of you on here...my eyelets kept smashing/splitting on the back side! looked horrible..... SO....I looked on the "scrapbooking forums" and found this little tip!... QUOTE "When I first got the Crop-a-dile, I still had trouble with some eyelets splitting on the back. The "trick" someone mentioned was to use the C and the 4 sides of those little "thingies" because the flat surface of the 4 is less apt to split the eyelet. WOW....worked so well! no more ugly splitting!!!! yeah !!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not enough product info While this tool is excellent for getting to hard to reach places on pages & cards, I too am disappointed with the splitting & sharp edges left on the eyelet back. I don't feel like I should have to always cover them up as when I do tags. It was only after I contacted We R Memory Keepers direct that I found I need to use their eyelets which are scored to split evenly. JoAnn's doesn't tell you this nor do they offer a large box of just the eyelets needed. Now I will order direct from the company & pay shipping charges for just the eyelets!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from very dissappointed wish I read reviews before I purchased this cropadile II. It doesn't have a nice finish to the back of the eyelets, it breaks them and then there are sharp edges. I returned it back to the store. OH A HAMMERING WE WILL GO!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great idea . . . Just doesn't work! I was so excited to try out this product, because it seemed like such a good idea. After taking it out of the package and feeling how heavy it was, I was sure it was going to work. It felt really sturdy, well looks can be deceiving. I read the really crappy instructions, and I even went to their website to make sure I knew how to use it correctly and I went to set my first eyelet . . . big let down. It basically just put a little dent in the back and the eyelet would just fall out. I tried multiple brands of eyelets, different sizes, snaps, I tried every sort of metal embellishment. It seemed to work OK on snaps. The paper punch part works really well though. I returned it and got the making memories eyelet setter - A+

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not impressed While this is great for punching holes anywhere on the page and even piercing chipboard, I was not impressed with the eyelet setting function. My eyelets are always deformed and the instructions are horrible!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Big Bite I was given this as a gift, by someone who couldn't stand one more minute of me setting eyelets with a hammer. It's super easy to use and very quiet. I like that it punches easily through chipboard. My only complaint is that the back of the eyelets don't split quite as nicely as when I used my hammer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE IT!!! I now have both crop-a-diles and I love them both but this one more since you can keep it on the table and not lift it.But I did get this with a coupon and the grommets on sale but it was well worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like it I bought it on sale and I really like it. It works really well and I can finally get to all of those hard to reach places.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Quiet...Worth Sale Price!! I LOVE this tool!! I was looking for something that was super quiet so that I could scrapbook while my daughter was napping. This is not only quiet but super easy to use. I got mine while it was on sale and would buy it again without a second thought!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't bother I thought this was a great idea and was one of the first to get it through qvc when it came out and I was SO disappointed. Its heavy and bulky and heres the best part it broke the very first time I used it. I will stick with my handheld.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellant Buy On Sale This item is an excellent tool to add to your scrapbook/card making toolbox. The only thing I caution you with, is buy this on sale. Other companies offer this item with 350 assortments of grommets that is well worth the additional $5.00 if this item is not on sale. I purchased 2 just to have the grommets Joann’s didn’t offer with theirs. It would have cost more to purchase them separately and they are nice embellishments on pages and cards. I wish Joann’s got the deal with We R Memory Keepers for the grommets also. Two other major scrapbooking internet companies offer this item at $44.95 with grommets. It is worth the deal if you don’t want the grommets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big Bite II I love this tool. I got it early prior to a scrapbook Jam here in Hawaii to test it out so I could share about it. This tool is great. I had bought a cat head chipboard album held together with a chipboard binding. Since it was so cute, lots of people looked at the album and thus within a day or so the binding had broke. Well, in like 10 minutes or less (most of the time was finding the metal rings to hold the pages together), I punched holds in the top of the cat's head. The ruler allowed me to have perfect placement of the holes. For a missionary fund raiser, I took 2 foam rabbits (approx 12 in), 2 foam eggs and created unique Easter albums.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What we've been waiting for! This tool, the long awaited crop-a-dile big bite, is the best thing to hit the scrapbooking business. For that matter, it could even be the best thing for all craft projects. Not only does it punch holes in just about any material, it can set eyelets, grommets, and best of all it reaches clear into the middle of a 12 inch paper! How cool is this thing?!?
