the right size and thickness
These are made of fairly substantial plastic (not that wimpy stuff you get from some other sources). These particular bags are a great size to hold/protect a small necklace or bracelet as well as a pair of earrings.

False sizing
I was very disappointed with the product. In the past when I have purchased it, the item I needed it for fit in the 4 x 6 space below the zip closure. Now apparently it was resized and only fits 3 15/16 x 5 3/8; and the total measurement of the bag is 4x 6. So it is no longer useful to me.

NOT 4 x 6, they just changed their size
I have been buying these for months, and the size below the ziplock used to be 4" x 6". I just got home from Joanns and bought a new package, with a new label and they are smaller. Still 4" wide, but only 5 1/4" deep. The overall size of the bag is only 6", when the overall size of the old bags used to be 6.5" tall. Not good. The usable space is not 4 x 6.
