These are 9mm toy safety eyes.
These should be listed as 9mm, and somewhere in the description refer to the safety considerations of these being preferred to any other button or bead that is sewin on.

I needed some of these eyes for a project and was looking for something around 9 mm. I'm not sure why these are measured in inches in the description, and mm on the actual product packaging. To provide a better description than the website, These are shank back, or safety eyes with washers to lock the eye in place. They are 9 mm in diameter and there are 4 pairs of eyes in each package. That comes to 8 eyes and 8 washers. They seem to be decent in quality.

Easy to work with!
I have been crocheting the Lily Dolls from the Yarnspirations site! I tried other sizes and different ways (satin stitching!!) for the dolls eyes! The backing on the shank holds the eye in place and the size is perfect for the smallish faces on the dolls! I would definitely recommend these eyes for doll making! (Being careful with dolls and eyes is a major concern - my dolls are for display since most seniors my age don't play dolls too often!!)
