Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coverage! I bought an 8 oz jar of this paint and it seems to last forever! I have done a night stand, a washstand, a mirror, several picture frames and a chair. A little goes a really long way with this stuff. It goes on smooth and is super easy to sand to give your piece that perfect antique finish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Chalk Paint I've used Americana on numerous projects from crafts to furniture, mainly furniture. The coverage is great. Americana says an 8 oz jar covers an amazing 60 square feet. I have had comparable coverage. The colors are all beautiful and I've had many compliments on my furniture with numerous requests to custom paint furniture for friends and family. I'v had no problems with bad brush strokes, mjust enough to grab ahold of glazes and dark waxes for antiqueing. They're barely visible to the naked eye. Sometimes the product comes a bit thick, but ll I have to do is add a little water. It works great as a wash and every other technique I've tried, including staining over the paint. I tell everyone who's interested in chalk paintin to use Americana Chalky Paint.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Color not well represented on website This more of a sea green than anything. Can't return it to the store, and will cost almost as much to ship it back as the paint is worth. Lesson learned about buying online.

My last project I bought the buttercream brand and loved it its thicker and lays flat, Americana shows the brush lines, really disappointed in this paint will stick with buttercream brand from now on.

Now I only use this brand because the coverage is great. The first coat covered way better than two coats of the other brand. So I got more use out of in the the long run.

I always loved the stools height and that they spun all the way around but i never liked their natural finish. So I chalk painted them and are very pleased with the results. Seemed one jar was more watery than the other. Second coat went on better after i got it to room temperature.
