CROSS STITCH BEGINNER
I love my JOANN fabric store! I am just learning cross stitch. I bought embroidery thread a long time ago but was not sure how to go about getting started. I read a bit about it online and got a reasonably priced flat pack so I can practice the various stitches, learn what thread count works best with a 14 count, etc. The fabric is stiff enough so that I could work without a hoop should I choose, but pliable enough to go into a hoop easily. When I become proficient, I will invest in a roll of cross stitch fabric and make a design myself.

Great Fabric for cross stitching
While I haven’t started the project that I bought the fabric for, I have used it before and have never had any problems with it. The holes are decent enough to fit three strands of floss through them. The middle squares are relatively easy to punch through for half and three quarter stitches.
