Waste of money
This is the biggest waste of money ever. So lightweight it is unstable and it is hard to find colored chalk dust (and messy to change out if trying to mark a white garment) I truly wish some manufacturer would bring back the old clamp and pin marker, which actually worked.

The worst contraption
I bought this at Joanne's about 2 months ago and spent a half hour trying to get everything lined up. No can do. Have not had time to return this and definitely regret that I paid full price for this. Have had other brands that were so much easier.

Is not worth the price
Bought this with a 50% off coupon, would not have bought at full price, this product is way over prices. It is all plastic, made cheap! It does do the job, but for how long ?????

LOVE it!
I don't have anyone who can help me mark hems and this is perfect! Although it's plastic, it is very sturdy. You CAN buy refills (search Dritz powdered chalk). I do full circle skirts and you have to mark the places you can and "connect the lines".
My only complaint is expense BUT you can buy it when notions are 50% off and at $18 it's a great deal!
If you hem on your own without a form, I'd consider this a necessity.

Chalk Refill Not Available
I bought the Deluxe Chalk Hem Marker a few years ago and gave it to someone else. I wanted to buy a new one but only if I could also get the chalk refill. There is non available! Not in the stores and not on the Internet. I would not recommend this product.

If you are tall lady (6 feets or taler) and sew long skirt or dress, the cord will be to short for you , and it is impossible to put accurate marks by yourself. But that is after all the main reason you want to purchuase this product - because you wish to avoid others help. If the cord would be longer, I would recomend this product to all
