Led sewing machine bulb
Love this bulb! I put it in a vintage "Free Westinghouse" sewing machine that was made in 1944! This bulb is way better than the standard bulb and uses less watts

My old sewing machine had the old light , and was difficult to to see , so went in to the store and the clerk suggested I try the LED Bulb. Boy what a difference. I love my new bulb . If you don’t have one , go to JOAnn’s and get one.

Perfect upgrade for old Singer
I wasn't sure it would fit but I put this my old Singer 201 and what an improvement!

Fits Kenmore 158, extremely bright

Excellent little bulb
The lumen is nice and bright. The bulb has a plastic/silicon shell and is not glass. This is a good value for the price. I have a Kenmore sewing machine and the fit was perfect. Easy to twist in and out. I plan to buy a second one for backup.

Sew much better light
This LED bulb provides much more light than the original incandescent bulb in my 1970s vintage Singer Futura II Model 920. The B15 base was easy to push into the lamp socket, requiring no modification to the lamp base. (Users of certain models of machines have reported that the raised collar on the metal base of the bulb prevents it from inserting all of the way into the socket. The solution was to grind off a bit of the collar.) I also removed my machine’s clear plastic lamp diffuser, which not only blocked light due its yellowed age, but also created shaded lines in the light pattern due to its vent slots. The diffuser is difficult to slide off the brown socket body. It’s held on by two small, strong spring steel pieces. The removal can be done with a pair of mini channel-lock pliers by alternating pulls on both sides of the socket body.

More research needed
The bulb did not fit my older Singer. It did fit my 1974 Singer. The pins did not fit the 1954 Singer even though the base fit into the receptacle. I need to make sure that the bulb are for the right machine. I would have loved LED on the old Singer.

Wonderful
I had to replace an older filament bulb and the LED was soo much brighter making it easier to see to sew. I would have replaced with led bulb sooner if I had know how well it lit up the sewing area.
