Air Artist is the only machine available in the US market which allows users to create original embroidery designs of up to 4″x 4″ via app. dot Customizer, the dedicated free app, available on the App Store or Google Play, includes 260 built-in designs and full lettering software in 12 fonts. Users can compose and edit designs on-screen in different combinations of layouts, letterings, and colors as well as preview a simulation of the embroidering process before it is stitched out.

I'm a beginner so the fact that It comes with software was great and after you get used to it makes it fun to use. I'm just getting started but am so excited to start creating beautiful things. My plans are to make personalized gifts and I also have my first grandchild on the way so it looks like I found the perfect machine!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DON'T Waste your money Worst machine ever everything in Japanese, took me a full day just to get it to sew when it sews bobbin jams no matter what setting I put it on, You can't up load photos app is horrible wont allow you to up load, Instructions suck not clear very vague. Worse purchase I have ever made. Went online manual all in Japanese even if you convert to English the website changes to English but when you click on links to get manuals, instructions it's all in Japanese, Videos all in Japanese. BIG WASTE of time and MONEY.

I always want patients to know who I am and what title I hold. When you have a stitch company embroider the lab coats it cost for each line and the designs are few. My husband bought for me the Elna Air Artist Wireless Embroidery machine. I was very skeptical as far as the quality and the versitility of the Air Artist. Well, I could not have been so wrong. I have had it for a couple of weeks. There is so many possibilities with this machine. Name (text) and picture designs to start with. I have worked with downloading outside images. Customer support states that the "dot Customizer" works with many more formats than .jef files. Time will tell as I expand my skills. Be careful the company does not support outside images. The stitch count, ability to alter and size are important to have considered. 25,000 stitches is the limit. Setting up the machine was a challenge for me. Operator error for a lot of it. The instructions are better than most with computer internet items. But, I did not give up Download the many manuals. .Make sure you start off in the beginner mode. This gives you a chance to be introduced to the basics first. As you get accustom to the basic enjoy the huge world the Art Artist has to offer in removing the beginner setting. Definitely connect to the "CLIENT" mode if possible. The ability to have the internet and machine functionality makes working with the programs much easier. The " dot Customizer" app is moderately easy to work with. I could have used an instruction manual for the wide range of features that are available. The app does have "?" icon to use for learning the features. This is very helpful. There are several instruction manuals downloadable for the Air Artist machine. Take advantage of those for they are done well. Make sure you use the right threads. 40 weight for the top and 90-100 weight (100 percent polyester) for the bobbin. I have not used the 100 weight yet. This is coming in soon. I am experimenting with different brand threads and types ( polyester or rayon). There is a list in the instruction manual to choose from. So far Iris thread, which comes in a separate purchace starter kit for the Air Artist is working well. The starter kit does give you a selection of thread colors, stabalizer and a needle to start with. Not sure if the stater kit is necessary. But, I did not have to decide what to buy to get started. It would have been better if a spool of bobbin thread would have been included.There are lots of videos to get you started as well. I used a Samsung Note 8. The big screen is helpful. I would recommend a larger device. But, the phone is doing well. I am looking forward to learning and doing more with the Elna Air Artist Wireless Embroidery machine. It is awesome for the price. Customer support has been a god send. Happy sewing! Below is the first projects. This machine is relatively new so the machine parts are going to be out to the dealers soon. I was looking for another hoop frame to set up a design ahead of use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wireless Embroidery By default the machine is set up to wirelessly connect to your Wi-Fi from the device. It was a little difficult to set up the machine to link directly to my home Wi-Fi; however, once I established the link and made it my default method for connecting, I was able to quickly and easily follow the 10 instructional videos to get started. It would be nice to have a video on how to set up the different connections for other users who are interested in establishing this type of link. In addition I was able to go to websites to get free embroidery designs. It is important to note that the Elna Air Artist uses JEF format for your designs. I had to do a little web research to find that out. It would’ve been nice to have that included in the guide. Otherwise, I love this machine and have already started a few projects with more ideas springing up every day!

First I want to say I have never used a Embroidery machine I had always done it by hand. It is so much easier with the machine and it doesn't but a fraction of the time. And they have so many designs and you can create your own. It does take some time to get used to all the features and adjustments but it is well worth it. I have big plans for mine, a lot of different projects. I love it. You do have to download the "dot customizer" App. And you need to purchase thread and sewing supplies and the stabilizers. I highly recommend it so much fun and so much you can make. I'm so glad I got to try it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took a seeing class in High school (20 years ago) so I should be able to use this Air Artist Wireless Embroidery Machine right out the box right!? NO! I was wrong! Came to reality and decided to ask my mother for help and print out the manual. My mother (a "seasoned" seamstress) hopped behind the machine and asked, wait, where's your pedal!?! So we put our skills together and figured out how to use it. She did the threading and I did the app. I can't believe it was this easy! I suggest (reason for my 4 stars) print the manual out and the other suggestion would be (to the company) include a little starter or beginners kit. This would get you practicing before actually making something. Once I get use to it I may start making things for small businesses.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cute crafty machine [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine was so cute! I can’t believe I got to try something this expensive for $0. Anyway, I took it out a few days after receiving it and it was a lot to read about. The instructions were very detailed. It took awhile to get it threaded but once I did I was good to go. I ended up doing a T-shirt with music notes for a friend. He loved it. It did mess up just a little bit. The only downside is I wish that it could do more then one color at a time but it’s still pretty neat. And it’s fun.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this machine and it took a while to figure out how to set it up with the thread and stuff, then when i tried it on a sample piece of fabric it kept jamming up, was hard to get it to do just right, until i tried two pieces of fabric together than it worked better. It is a nice machine but hard for me because i am a first timer. Also it would be a lot nicer if it had a light on it so you could see what you are doing and see the stitching and if it messed up.

Must have an Apple or Android compatible wifi device (smartphone/tablet) in order to install the program. I have a Samsung Tablet and went to the Google store for the free app download. I'm so excited to try different patterns. I've never been crafty so It will take some time for me to understand better. I hope to do tea towels for Christmas gifts! You should tryit for yourself!

It was so easy to use and especially if you already had a sowing machine before! Love the designs and just know that it links to your phone through your WiFi so it will disconnect your WiFi while using it so use an iPad for the program or computer so it can be easier! Love it hands down!

I was able to work on a mother's day gift for my mom and have plenty of time to do a few more I plan to do. The machine itself isn't very heavy and really nice quality. The app is super helpful and has some preregistered designs that are really cute too.

We’re just beginners with embroidery and this machine has been super intuitive and easy to use. We’ve been able to add monograms, etc quite easily. It's easy to set up the fabric in the hoop and attach it to the machine. There are no discs needed for designs, just download the app, it's that simple. After you have the app on your phone or tablet, decide from the assortment of designs and when set just hit the icon to load it to the machine. I love how easy it is to add names! There are a variety of styles to choose from and size can be adjusted also. This embroidery machine is very well made, easy to operate with a push of the button and you can watch it stitch from the app. This is the first design I tried and I had no problems at all. A great product that I highly recommend.

But with a bit of patience, it ended up working well! The machine works on its own and you can chose plenty of different themes on the app.
