Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works up well Was nice to work with...much easier than silk velvet, et al. It was shipped folded rather than on a roll, which surprised me, but it does not seem to easily imprint as much as some other velvets. It has a nice look for the Santa Suit I was making, but is not rich enough for more formal uses IMHO.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Christmas Stockings! This velveteen is very nice to work with. It is easy to get a professional look with this fabric. I've been sewing for over 60 years and know the quality of a fabric. I have purchased this in black also and am very pleased with it. Good rich color also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfert Fabric for Royalty! I made historical clothing and this velveteen is perfect for my half capes and flat caps. It has the correct weave and nap for a period looking accessory for Ren Fair participants and historical re-enactors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vintage Elegance I bought this online for an in-store pickup the next day not really knowing what the fabric would be like in person. My initial reaction was one of worry because it didn't really look like much in the bag and on the bolt it didn't exactly scream luxury (of course I wasn't expecting much for the price either). The raw edges release A LOT of velveteen pile so I serged the ends and threw my yardage in the washer and dryer. My goodness, it came out so soft and plush! It's surprisingly really easy to work with and extremely comfortable to wear since it is cotton. The dress itself looks so expensive and the depth of the velveteen pile exudes a certain elegance that only really nice, tailored vintage dresses have. It looks warm but it's very cool on the skin. I lined the bodice and skirt with a plain-woven linen and it is relatively wrinkle proof. The only caveat of working with this velveteen, however, (as is the case with most fabrics with pile) is that the raw edges do release a lot of fluff while you work with it so keep a lint roller handy and finish those edges! I am definitely going to make more pieces out of this material and I'm eyeing the other colors they have in store.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and Easy to Work With I bought this product for a project which I wanted to look elegant. It has the right weight to drape beautifully, but it is easy to work with on a basic sewing machine. The color is rich and the feel is luxurious.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes up beautifully I bought this fabric in different colors to make brimmed hats with bands, and separate crowns. It makes up beautifully with no pressing of seams. One should wear an apron, when constructing, as the fabric is quite messy when cutting and sewing. A lint brush is a necessity. A lot of cleaning of your sewing area and machines are necessary. I think it's overpriced.
