Rated 5 out of 5 by from These are fabulous! I've used Gelatos for a number of years. The vivid pigments and and velvet feel are a joy to use! The color range is wonderful! When they dry, within hours, they don't smear at all. I'd put these up against any other gel type of craft art crayon! While they're not artist quality in terms of being lightfast, their other qualities are very much artist quality.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Meh.. I like the quality of Faber-Castell products but I found these a little disappointing. Two of the three colors I purchased lacked opacity which makes what you end up with on the page not what you’d expect from looking at the tube. The one metallic color I purchased being the exception. They don’t blend as well with finger as some inexpensive water-soluble oil pastels I’ve used. They spread quite a bit with very little water. Like most reviewers will mention a damp napkin, cloth, or wet wipe will do the trick. I feel it’s more of a craft paint stick than an art supply, I prefer a paint stick that is more pigmented, blends smoother, and dissolves like watercolor. They are not bad, just nothing to write home about.
