Thick upholstery foam
Thick foam worked well for my bench upholstery. I don’t know if it’ll stay as thick as it was initially as it seems to compress quite a bit when we sit on it.

Bought to make a dog bed. Used some left over upholstery fabric. This was WAAAY less expensive than the dog beds you purchase at the retail pet stores or even discount stores and it's EVEN BETTER THAN A STORE BOUGHT DOG BED!
