Happy surprise
This boards dark on one side and light on the other. I did not know this when I bought it but it really made cutting light and dark materials a lot easier. I really like the size and convenience of this cutting board.

This mat is quality... but not the same as the mat I lost in a fire that my grandmother gave me. It too was a Fiskars, 18x24, but thicker and seemingly more durable. Time will tell...

Great For people that Make Blankets
This is the perfect tool to use if you are cutting alot of Fabric, or Making Blankets and want to make sure the edges are cut to match perfectly. The surface also doesn't show the cut Marks unless you use it a million times.

This mat makes life easier!
I bought this mat several months ago and its great! Before I was using just scissors to cut my fabrics out and this is way easier. I would suggest turning it every couple weeks because that helps keep it smoother I find.

Super-handy!
I usually dislike hemming, but this really speeds up the process! It's easy to use and has different markings on both sides. I first used it for some basic curtains and it made things so much simpler. I definitely recommend it!

Like it but too small
I was immediately attracted to the color of this mat. I use it just to cut fabric with a rotary cutter and have never used the guides before, but it works very well even for that purpose. It's a good size but a little on the small side for larger projects. I recommend purchasing a size larger. (I bought a small one too to make up for the length).

Excellent cutting mat for great price!
I bought this in stores recently and used my 40% off coupon on it, making it a great deal. It was time for me to upgrade from my small, 5 year old and torn up cutting mat and I wish I did sooner! This mat is thin and light-weight, but firm and sturdy. I love that it is double sided with a dark gray or white side you can use to contrast with the material you are cutting. I have used an exacto knife and pocket knife on it and it works great. The grid is also very helpful and easy to read - much easier than other cutting boards. Instead of your usual grid where there are many, many tiny squares within the squares, this grid uses 9 dots instead of lines which allows you to read it clearer.

I have owned many cutting boards and this is by far my favorite. The fact that it's lined on both sides gives you twice the wear. I also like the bright color which contrasts contrasts with my fabrics.

Great mat
Love the color. Double sides and self healing is also a great thing. I appreciate the bright color. No trouble lining up my ruler since I can see the black lines well through the acrilic ruler. The size is good for most all of my projects.
