The extra-large, earth-friendly Fiskars Eco Cutting Mat offers plenty of room to work on sizeable projects. Optimal for cutting fabric directly from the bolt, or working with larger squares or long strips, this cutting mat includes easy-to-read measuring grids on both sides as well as 30-, 45- and 60-degree bias lines for easy, accurate shape and angle cutting. Fiskars cutting mats are two-sided and made with high quality material tailored to the use of a rotary cutter and the prevention of work surface damage. Eco cutting mats are made from 100-percent recyclable polypropylene for environmentally responsible disposal. Cutting mats are best stored flat, away from sunlight and extreme temperatures. They can be washed with warm water and a mild soap.

Great Quilting tool!
The Fiskers Cutting Mat is the perfect replacement for my old mat. My wife sews quilt for Project Linus, and I cut out all the pieces for her. After 435 ( and counting) quilts, the old mat had clearly reached its useful life end. The new Fiskers board is a self healing board, and hopefully will not develop the grooves in it's surface from repetitive cutting. A good investment for any quilter!

The sticker needs to be removable.
The sticker on the mat needs to be easily removable after purchase. It’s not. And it is leaving a residue where I’ve managed to remove it. I am dreading getting the gunk off with any chemicals for fear of removing the marking. This is a large mat so it’s not cheap. This is a fail.

Good over time
I have one of these that I bought over 5 years ago (from Joann). It's definitely thicker than the green Olfa I also have (and which still -- after 3 years -- has an nasty odor, but NOT the Fiskars mat).
The self-healing works very well. It still looks barely used. I ONLY use it with a rotary cutter, and NOT with any other kind X-ACTO or other razor blade.

FISKERS MATS ARE MY FAVORITES..
I love this mat as it has bigger numbers on the edges than my other 3 mats. I wish it was a little thicker for the price. But overall a great mat.
