How To Get It

Fiskars Circle Cutter makes it easy to cut circles on paper or cardstock, perfect for creating windows on homemade cards, scrapbook pages and more. Cut circles from 1" to 8" with no preset increments for crafting versatility. The clear cutting mechanism and needle-point blade ensure precise alignment with your project needs while a gripping foot prevents slippage while cutter is in use. To use, select the circle size you need by turning the lock wheel clockwise to loosen the cutting arm. Retighten the lock wheel once desired circle diameter is reached to secure cutting arm. Next, align the circle cutter with your project and apply pressure to the control nob with your non-dominant hand. With your dominant hand, apply light pressure to the cutting arm and move it in a circle around the cutting mechanism. For best results, always use a Fiskars self-healing cutting mat. Circle Cutter cut capacity is intended for 1 sheet of 20# paper (75 gsm) or 1 sheet of 80# cardstock (218 gsm).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It works If you have 3 hands. Following instruction you need 3 hands to work this thing to press it in place, spin it, & hold what you’re cutting so it doesn’t move with it. When you take the cap off the center foot it also likes to wobble around. I just leave the foot cover on which also keeps the paper from moving

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works but takes a while to figure out. I bought this to cut for sublimation paper and cutting circles to use with a heat press machine. I couldn't figure out the instructions and went on the website. The reviews weren't good. I did look at the pictures and the instructions were bad to nonexistent. I played around and did get it to work. It's not quite as complicated as the pictures make it look. Play with the amount of pressure you use to hold it in place. More isn't better. Something on the bottom to keep it from moving around would be helpful. I wouldn't use it for things you need to get precise but it's quicker than using a scissors for sure. I'll keep using.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Clear plastic + few guide lines = zero precision This abomination needs a complete usability redesign. The arrows mentioned in instructions are lightly embossed on top of inner clear plastic rectangles, inside this thing, next to and above the center padded foot. Use under a bright light. Slide the ruler so a number, e.g. 2", sits next to an arrow. BTW, that will be diameter, not radius, and it's not precise. I recommend marking the center of your circle with a 1" plus (+) so you can find it when placing the cutter. Be careful, because you have to install the blade before placing, so you may cut or scratch the paper accidentally. Suggestions for Fiskar: 1) Make alignment marks more obvious! Add color, grooves - anything to help users place it without guesswork. 2) Give instructions on the package, explaining the above; don't punt to the web.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not User Friendly Horrible instructions. (See below) Clockwise or counterclockwise depends on how you're holding the thing. Arrows would be very helpful. Go to YouTube if you bought this thing. 2. Changing circle size Turn the wheel lock counterclockwise until the cutting arm slides freely. Slide the arm to the desired size and then relock it in place by tightening the wheel lock. Do not over-tighten.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Got a USED cutter that was missing a blade I'm VERY disappointed in Joann's online store. I thought I was buying a new Fiskars Circle Cutter, but I received an opened package, badly taped, with only two blades, not the three that were supposed to be included. The two blades had obviously been used. They were so dull that the cutter couldn't make complete circles in lightweight printer paper. Worst of all, Joann charges for returns, so I have to make a 1-hr round trip to return it to a store. As far as the cutter itself, it's very difficult to use. Yes, I watched several how-to videos first, because the cutter doesn't come with real instructions. The cutter seems OK for larger circles (over 3 inches), but doesn't make complete cuts for anything under 2.5 inches. What a shame. This cutter is not worth the cost.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good tool Easy to use and makes excellent cuts. The numbers are cumbersome to read but a little patience did the trick.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor instructions The Instructions to set diameter or radius are AWOL.
