Rated 1 out of 5 by from disappointment I saw this tool on Scrapbook Memories, a tv show I love. I bought it but was disappointed as the hole puncher does NOT go through thicker pages nor does it set eyelets flat. I am bringing mine back and opting for the Crocodile II which can make a hole even in the middle of a 12 x 12 page.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best One I absolutely LOVE these. I own about 5 other products from other companies and I saw these and purchased them. They are the BEST by far for making holes and setting them for cards, scrapbook pages etc. Yes they are kinda noisy like a loud pop but it is perfect everytime. I would recommend these to anyone. I told several of my friends about them and they all went out and bought them and have the same opinion as I do. I don't use any of the other ones I have just these and I bought 3 sets of them just in case one gets lost or something cause I would not be happy if I did not have these. I bought them while we were in Germany and I ordered them online then they carried them at the BX/PX on base. I can't do without them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from works okay as a hole punch 1. Does not punch completely through many cardstocks on first time. Need to do it two or three times. Make sure you don't move the thing or your hole will be too big. 2. Does not set the eyelet well. Needs at least three tries, usually five or six, to set it enough. Back of eyelet will not be flat. 3. Ruins eyelets that are not round. Decorative eyelets that have large flat areas on front will be damaged by this setter. 4. Don't get this. Save up a few more bucks and get the long-reach Crop-A-Dile.

No problems First time buying a product like this for eyelets..Have been looking for and easier way..Not to keen on the hammer thing..Love the way it works..It is so easy..Springs are fine.Works great..If ever any problems just call the company and they will replace your items with no problem...Always works for me.... Great Products..Works Great..Storage is Easier...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dogs hate it It's great because you can place eyelets anywhere on the page, but it doesn't always set correctly. Sometimes I'll have to reset a whole new eyelet...what a waste. My dogs hate the noise it makes, even using the floor on a mat is LOUD.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from very pleased I love these tools! I use them on every single scrapbook page, as I do hours of embellishments on each page. I can see how someone would dislike this product at first, as it does take a little while to get the hang of how much pressure is needed on the spring. I am not familiar with the silent setter, but a a quiter tool would be necessary for moms or those who crop all night.

When you use it on harder, paper like bazzill it took me five times to get the hole through and then I had to finish pulling the circle out which ripped the paper on the back. Didn't take as long to finish the back of the eyelet as it did to make the cut. Very disappointed!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from it works I bought these over a year ago, and really love them I have had no problem with them..they are wonderful cause you can get anywhere on you page ect..where as the others are limited. These also work to take to the crops and dont take up much room. It does make some noise but it could be worse..I personally think these are better then the hammer.

YES the reviews are partly true about the back of the eyelet not being flat and smooth.. but if you use this tool, then bang just once with a hammer (its fine), and its much easier than doing it with a hammer all the way.. I recommend this when you need an ANYWHERE punch and setter. I also have the Crop-A-Dile which is my FAVORITE but you know that is only good so far in on the paper. So for the value and small size and convenience of not changing the tips, this is my favorite BACK UP setter tool when I need it in the middle of my project! I recommend getting both tools, I don't go anywhere without them both and all my friends feel the same!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simplifies My Life! I have tried several brands of punch/setter tools, and the Fiskars Eyelet Setters are by far my favorite! I've used mine for over a year, and the best part of these setters is that you don't have to take the time to change from the punch end and screw in the setter end...all you do is flip the tool over and you're ready to go! Only 3 pieces to set all sizes of eyelets, instead of 8 or more to keep track of! The only downfall of this product is how the back of the eyelet looks after it has been set. When I do need a nice finished back to an eyelet, I resort to my old setter. Overall, the Fiskars product is a timesaver!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I have to write again, I complained about this, but I finally figures out the trick. I was told to set eyelets and such on a craft mat, but found that didn't work, so I tried on the concreat floor, and it works. So now to set them I use an old piece of softer wood, and this way the face of the eyelet does not get damaged and the setters work, a little too much hassle, but at least they work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! Yes, these tools are noisy, you must use them on a very firm surface, and you must be careful to not overextend the barrel (not as much of a problem on the improved set), but they are wonderfully easy to use. I highly recommend them.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not worth it This tool is definitely not worth it. It takes too long to set the eyelet. The back of the eyelet always breaks apart and there are alot of sharp edges to cover up. Sorry I bought this tool.

I bought this thinking it was a good deal because you don't have to buy seperate hole punches, but what I found was a set of tools that caused my ears to ring from the loudness of metal slamming together, and my fingers to go numb from the vibrations of the spring

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Easy We just tried this product at a scrapbook store. For the price and ease of use-it's wonderful. I own a Click It and do like it, but the Fiskers was much easier to use, especially for a friend of mine with arthitis in her hands. Just be sure to use it on a solid surface with the mat. I thought it was great and will carry one with me in my crop bag.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Breaks easily The idea for this is good, but the spring will bend easily, which makes the tool unusable. Get the The silent setter or click it tool. I replaced this with the silent setter and am thrilled with the ease of use and results!
