These are great for the price!
I have tendonitis in my thumb and my therapist recommended that I use spring loaded scissors and these are fantastic! If you have any hand issues; I highly recommend as these are ergonomic and very easy to use.

Wonderful scissors for arthritic hands
These scissors are marvelous! With the springs, cutting is painless for arthritic hands. I recommend if you’re not sure about purchasing, go to your fabric store and ask to try them before purchasing. My fabric store is JoAnns and a very helpful store employee helped me find these wonderful scissors.

Great angle!

Can’t cut through fleece?
Straight out of the package, brand new, and couldn’t cut through fleece. Literally could not. Fabric just sandwiched between the blades. Returned them immediately.

They really help with my arthritis .Others have limited the time I could cut my patterns. I also like the longer blades, less strain on my hands, more cutting I can get done per session.

Can’t cut fleece?
Got them home and tried them out on fleece (single layer), and they cut only about to the center before the blades sandwiched the fabric instead of cutting through it. Huge disappointment! I do find them comfortable, however. But if they can’t even cut a single layer of fleece, they’re getting returned.

Spring action bent handle scissors
The spring action of the scissors was not as good as another spring action pair I have. They are also heavier than I thought they would be. I have arthritis in my thumbs and wrists and found them a bit difficult to use. I thought they would make cutting easier.

NOT razor sharp
Although they are far, far more comfortable to my arthritic hands than standard shears, they are not what I’d call razor sharp—not by a ways! The center 1/3 of the cutting edge is excellent but the tip and base require additional effort and repeat cuts—when brand new. In a year and a half or two years? They’ll have been replaced for sharper blades.

The best scissors you will ever use
My daughter bought these scissors for me for my birthday. I do a ton of hand cutting for quilts and these are the only scissors that do not hurt my hands! They are arthritis proof! What a great item for people who suffer with pain in their fingers!
