Solid paper cutter works very well. Not exact on lining up the cut line and hard to adjust if it’s a narrow piece but overall a good cutter.

Nothing exceptional
Not thrilled with this cutter. I actually have an old rotary cutter that I’ve been using with an acrylic ruler instead and that is much faster and more accurate.

High quality, smooth cuts!
This trimmer cuts very smoothly, with no tears (as advertised), thanks to the rotary blade. Lots of clear measurement markings make it easy to measure out and line up what you're cutting. The only downside I've encountered thus far is that I don't believe you can see exactly where the blade is going to cut, so you do need to use the measurements indicated to determine the size of the final piece vs being able to see where the blade is going to actually make the cut.

Great for teachers!
This is a great tool for teachers: it offers more control and safety than a guillotine trimmer and is very durable! I cut lots of laminated paper with mine and it stays aharp.

Best Paper Trimmer Ever!
Best Paper Trimmer Ever! This is the first cutter that actually cuts a clean sharp edge and does not tear the paper. It's portable yet extends to cut a 12"x12" sheet. The blade self sharpens as it cuts. Love it. A must have for any crafter.

Not worth the buy
There is a gap between measurements from 3.25" to about 4" which is very inconvenient. I have to push really hard to get a complete cut. Def looking to return it.

This is a great trimmer to use at your workstation. You can cut several layers I think. I craft in my recliner a lot, that doesn’t make the best use of this, that’s the reason for 4 stars.

It had ONE job...
Terribly disappointed that this rotary trimmer just won’t cut. Going back and forth over the same spot 6-7 times and there is some faint scoring — but still not cut. I swapped out for new blades and NOPE. Same issue. I bought this to carefully trim away/even out edges. There is NO guide on the plate directing you to the actual blade placement. Using the rail guide is not helpful for such precision. It inevitably cuts too much due to the distance between the blade and the rail. If you have mobility issues, consider that you must also press down with your body weight onto the spring-action housing for the cutting. That repetitive action to cut one measly scrap of paper is not worth it. I highly discourage anyone to purchase this.

Returned it right away.
The trimmer was not well made. The only way it cut was by going back and forth 3 or 4 times, on simple copy paper. I was very disappointed, as I have always liked the brand.

I bought this trimmer because the other kind I had cut crooked. I wanted a rotary trimmer and went with this model. I love the light weight of the trimmer and the guidelines on it but the handle that extends to give you a larger cutting area leaves little to be desired. It's hard to see the markings because they're the same color as the guide. I ended up taking a sharpie and coloring over the lines on every inch mark. Overall, it's a great trimmer, just hard to see the extended markings.

Bought this model last week and returned it today. The ruler is basically unreadable; numbers are tiny, which wouldn't have been so bad if they were a different color than the rest of the ruler. If your trying to make decorative boxes you really need the ruler to be highly visible and this one isn't. It cut ok ( sometimes it didn't ). Upgrading to a scoring board with trimmer.

SO hard to measure with
I bought this a while ago and struggled with being able to get the exact measured cut I wanted. The swing arm is etched, with tiny print, and is nearly impossible to see without the light shining on it just the right way. Also, it seems upside down to me. The numbers on the base and swing arm all face so that you use the cutter as shown with the arm swinging out to the left and upward. However, with the etchings on the swing arm difficult to see anyway, it's even more difficult when it's well over a foot away from your eyes. I have to turn it and use it with the arm swinging downward to the right. Lastly, I don't think the markings on the swing arm are correct, or something moved. For example, when I try to do a 5" cut, I have to set the paper between 1/8 and 1/16 past 5" to get a 5" piece of paper. Way too much guesswork.

Not for photographs
I can't speak for other products by fiskers but it took at least 6-8 swipes per side with this trimmer and sometimes that wasn't enough...it left the edges of my photographs a little jagged as the blade is too weak.

My Fiskars Rotary Trimmer with 28mm
I just bought this at Joann's a few days ago and I love it. This is my 3rd paper trimmer by fiskars, I have a larger one that's not portable but is equally awesome, the 2nd one I love too but I cannot find replacement blades. I will say that when I purchased this trimmer I thought I could replace the blades with my own 28mm rotary blades, but thatÂ’s now the case. So I really hope I can find replacement blades for this one. It is a nice paper trimmer. ;* )
