Not so easy action!

Great for fleece fringe blankets
I use this to make slits in fleece fabric to pull fringes through instead of making ties. Much easier on the fingers and this is one sharp little tool that is perfect for working with these smaller 1-2 inch wide fringe pieces for my blankets.

Almost a winner
I have several pairs of this scissor because they are really usefull. They cut clean, quick and are easy on my hands. They are very maneuverable when working on tiny items. BUT! there is the lock issue. I don't know if the plastic is too soft or what but it does not last long and these scissors are very dangerous when open in you sewing box because they are so sharp. I bought some plastic tubing( like for fish tank aerators) and cut off 1.5 inch pieces to make my own guard for them. It works very well and is inexpensive. I just keep 3-4 pieces in my sewing basket so I can always find one.But I shouldn't have to do this a better lock and /or a guard of some kind should be provided by Fiskars, preferably on a small lanyard so it doesn't get lost.

Can't beat the quality.
These scissors are incredible and Fiskar stands behind their products. Had a pair once where the mechanism that holds the blades together broke and they not only replaced it free of charge but sent me TWO replacements. Great product!

I Love These Scissors!
I have arthritis and fibromyalgia so my hands aren’t always strong enough or are easily hurt when I try to cut anything. The handles on this pair of scissors are very comfortable. The blades are perfect for fussy cutting.

Making things easier
I bought these for my elderly mother to help her make a flannel rag quilt. With her arthritus in her hands it's hard to cut fabric but, these snips make clipping the quilt quick and easy for her.

Broken Hearted
Looking for scissors that didn’t hurt my hand was beginning to prove to be useless. Finally after reading reviews, I decided these were exactly what I needed. Was as happy as a kid on Christmas Day when these came in the mail. Sadly, my excitement was short lived. I can’t complain about the cut, they cut good but the lock is a piece of junk. After two uses the lock broke. The lock won’t lock therefore when you put them down, the blades are exposed in the open position. After I cut my finger tip several times, I decided to cut my losses and try something new. It they had a safety sheath to cover the blades may be a good solution but until then, these scissors are useless to me.

Easy Action Scissors save the day!
I was warned that I'd need spring-type scissors when it came time to cut fringed edges on the rag quilt I was making. I read reviews and shopped around, but the Fiskars Micro-tip 5-inch scissors quickly made it to the top of my list. From the first time I handled them, I knew that I'd made the right choice! What I'd heard was the hardest part of the project, clipping edges to make fringe on each square of the patchwork quilt, turned out to be no trouble at all! The spring-assist feature makes it the perfect tool for finishing your handmade treasure.

Perfect!
I make a lot of rag quilts, and these are easy to open and close with only one hand. They are very sharp, and easily cut through multiple layers. These save me hours...they are my new favorite scissors.

A Treasured Sewing Piece
I purchased these scissors for cutting fabric, as well as cutting out patterns. I purchased these scissors sometime in early 2009, while attending school for fashion design. I just wanted to say that these scissors are very reliable, easy to use, and compact. I took them with me to my classes, and have been able to complete various sewing projects that I've been awarded with praise for. I would highly recommend this product for use.

I am a professional costumer, designer and sewing educator with 40+ years of experience. I have several pairs of these scissors. They are so awesome. The point will cut into new buttonholes and lacing eyelets perfectly. You can take out seams with them better than with a seam ripper...They are easier to use than traditional small scissors, because there are no holes to get your fingers stuck in. I recommend them to all my sewing students...better tools make better sewists/

HANDY!!!!!
I have purchased a couple pair of these, they're so easy to use. My husband used my first pair (for some unknown reason) and basically "claimed" then as his, so I had to get myself another pair. They are very sharp as well as comfortable to use for long periods of time.

Durable and THE go to tool for trimming cannabis
Trimming the leaves from cannabis flowers can take hours and hours. These sharp little scissors are perfect for the job. And the spring is very important as your hands don't get so tired.

Fiskars Softouch Micro-Tip Scissors
I have 3 pairs of these ! I have arthritis and the spring that "makes" the scissors open are perfect as I don't have to physically open the scissors, they spring back open. All I have to do is push to cut. I use them every day for my crafting and they cut felt easily. I have had a couple of these scissors before. This last pair started out fine but then as I would cut the fabric the scissors would not automatically open for the next cut. This makes working on my rag quilts very annoying. I will have to return them.

Great little snips
I keep these by my sewing machine at all times! Especially useful when chain piecing. They are sharp and stay closed when not in use which is great for safety. Can't live without them now!
