Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Wax I’ve used Annie Sloan products with much success, but for the price the Folk Art chalk paint and wax are wonderful. I had no problem applying the wax, just use a good wax brush and apply a thin coat, wait a day and then buff. Also I think it’s important to use the Folk Art chalk paint as they’re made to go together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! bought chalk paints to make distressed mason jars! They turned out great!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Home Decor Wax Finish I've used other waxes that were easier to polish and dried faster. This was tacky for a very long time and when I tried to polish to the desired finish it appeared to smear. I'll have to fine sand the project again and apply another coat of paint before using the other wax to finish it. Not impressed with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Stuff Easy to use and leaves a beautiful finish. Just brushed on and wiped off with a clean rag after first putting on a coat of clear wax. Love it. Just what I was looking for.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never dried, washed off with water It never ever dried. I had it on the piece for months. It was always sticky and gross. If it got even a speck of water on it, the wax would disolve completely. Eventually I got to annoyed that I poured water over the entire thing and wiped the wax off with several towels and a paint scraper. Horrible product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Product I've only used these particular products once so far but I have use other Plaid/FolkArt products in the past, which is one reason why I purchased these. They are good products, easy to use and good quality. I would definitely recommend these for your chalk paint projects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Marvelous product fantastic fluid product, gave the exact finish I required over the top of a grey oak coloured paint. A beautiful smokey grey with subtle white graining and a nice soft sheen. I brushed this wax on then with the grain wiped off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I BOUGHT THIS WAX SEVERAL MONTHS AGO AND I LOVE IT, I USED IT ON MY CHALK PAINTED FURNITURE AND IT IS THE BEST IT GOES ON REALLY SMOOTH AND IS EASY TO APPLY.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad I put this wax over my cream chalk paint and left on to dry until next day as recommended. However it won't come off and has terrible yellow rusty streaks. I had done one chair and used a minwax paste and they did not do this at all. Had to repaint the whole thing. Would never use this product again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not like solid wax, but still works great It's true that this performs differently than a solid wax (like Annie Sloan) when you are applying and buffing, but once it is dry it is every bit as durable as the solid waxes. I actually prefer this to the Annie Sloan wax, I like that it spreads easier and has no smell compared to the very stinky AS. If you are having issues buffing and/or it's leaving streaks, I'm willing to bet you used way too much and/or used the white wax instead of the clear. Hope this helps!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from eeew I will not buy this again. I bought this because it was the same brand as the paint I purchased. It seemed like I was using paint instead of wax. I put it on but it was ver difficult to buff.. and it did not give a nice finish. I'm sticking to solid wax.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WAX IS BAD! I bought this, waxed over my chalk paint, the wax WILL NOT DRY. It's the worst and looks terrible over a dark color- supposed to be CLEAR, it's white and looks awful regretting NOT buying Annie Sloan paint for more $$$.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from yellow not clear I bought the clear wax a week ago & used it over the grey Folkart chalk paint. It left yellow streeks all over. I will not be purchasing this product again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handy for various projects. I liked the waxes and will be getting them again. This kind of finishing was is hard to find. If you buy the light and dark color you can mix them to get the effect you like. Of course a little of the darker color goes a long way. You also have the option of having a shiny or antique finish by the way it's applied/dried.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Wax I've been using wax products on my crafts and painted furniture projects for a while. I purchased the Folk Art Home Decor Clear Wax with a 50% off coupon to give it a try. I've used it on a few small pieces and am not at all happy. This wax takes 24-48 hours to dry before you can buff. Most waxes on the market today can be buffed after a couple of hours. Even worse, this wax still feels tacky after buffing and leaves a slight yellow cast behind. It is definitely not clear. I will not be purchasing this wax again.
