Nice scissors!

Nice scissors

Quality Scissors
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like to occasionally do crafts and sewing projects that involve cutting fabric so I tested the scissors out on a variety of old clothes. I was able to very precisely cut around the graphics on old graphic tees and I was also able to cut a variety of fabric thicknesses with ease. I even tried to compare my old fabric scissors to these by cutting the same piece side by side and these scissors made it easier to cut straight. They were comfortable to hold and I really liked the little holder it came with. They proved to be high quality and versatile. These scissors made cutting curves easier and excelled at straight cutting as well. They made a great addition to my sewing kit.

This pair is a great length and fits well on my daughter's hand. The included protective cover slips on and off easily which means she will use it which will allow the scissors to stay protected.

Gingher 5" Sewing Scissors
The quality seems to be fine and is the reason I rated them in the mid range (3 stars). The finger rings are small. When cutting the lower ring puts pressure on the finger. The cutting function is stiff. I am hoping it is because they are new.

Perfect sewing scissors for small hands
I have a larger, heavier pair of Gingher scissors that I've used as my sewing scissors for many years and love them. My 7 yr old daughter was interested in sewing, but could never cut fabric independently because my scissors were too big and heavy for her to use and all other scissors were worthless on fabric. So, I picked up a pair of these little 5" scissors. They were exactly the solution. Sharp enough to cut through fabric with no frustration, small enough for my daughter to use comfortably. I'm looking forward to using these little scissors to help me cut curves more easily.

My favorite small scissors
I've owned these for many years and they're still sharp and accurate. My favorite feature is that they have one pointed blade and one curved blade. Keep the curved blade on the bottom and you have a great pair of applique scissors for trimming one layer close to a seam.

ABSOLUTELY WORTH THE PRICE...
I bought these in the store and they are so worth it. The "Knife Edge" is exactly that; what a wonderful pair of scissors to have next to my sewing machine (use them constantly) and they are comfortable to use as well. Thanks Joann and Gingher for a fab tool.

Very Sharp
I bought this with a 60% coupon a few weeks ago. They are my note favorite scissors. I have cut a pattern with them, but the true test was when I cut up a pair of denim pants for patches. It was like butter! Let's hope they stay nice and sharp!

Someone gave me a 5" gingher as a retirement gift. (I already have a 7" that I love!). The smaller one is easier for small things. I have a 13 year old granddaughter who has a passion for sewing, so I got this one for her as a gift. She used mine and it is PERFECT for her smaller hand!

Too much fuss
I crave good scissors, so I got these in place of the Gingher 4" curved embroidery scissors. Still not real thrilled - still would not have them if not for the 1/2 price sale at the store. They are just not very comfortable. I am hoping they will keep the smooth edge on the blades and the fine points on the tips, both of which I am pleased with, but I just don't get the price. Somehow Gingher is affiliated with Fiskars ~ what, just no orange handle ? A little more time honing the blade ? These scissors better make me some pretty quilts :)

The Best I have found
If you have never tried these scissors, you are missing out. I do alot of quilting and these are the best I have ever owned.
Do yourself a favor and purchase a pair, you wont be dissapointed.
