Gingher spring action scissors
The handles spring back when I use the scissors to cut fabric. Other kind of scissors jam when I use them. There’s only drawback: the spring action scissors hurt the lower part of my thumb after I use them for a long time.

Added another great Gingher product to my basket.
Gingher scissors are always my favorite for fabric and needle projects. These are great if you have big projects. I have pretty small hands and sometimes, these are proving a challenge. I do like their precision.
Don't count on these for all-purposes sewing needs. You will still need a good pair of snippers. The spring action pair is primarily just for your large fabric projects.

Smooth, easy cutting for heavy and light fabrics
I received these scissors as a gift and was hesitant about the spring. Positive: These scissors are very easy to use - effortless! They cut thick fabrics, as well as thin fabrics with precision and ease, and they seem to last a long time between sharpenings. The scissors are heavy and solid, but the spring makes them feel very lightweight, so for tired hands, they are wonderful. Negative: The spring doesn't stay closed now, and I can't fix it myself with a screwdriver, so I can't store them closed. However, the spring still works! I am going to contact the manufacturer to see if they can repair the spring closure.

These are the best scissors I have ever owned. With age, my hands are getting stiff with arthritis, so the spring action helps me cut fabric with ease. They cost a little more than other brands, but in my opinion are worth it in the long run.

Have been using for a year now; has cut everything from voile to leather with ease and precision. I am territorial about these and restrict their use to myself, alone. This year I got 2 more Gingher scissors and shall review these as well. Worth every penny. I am a first surgical assistant well acquainted with precision instruments and these are top notch!

ginger spring action scissors
I bought this scissor about 3years ago and I have been so pleased with them, It was getting hard to cut material so decided to try them. Even tho I have had them for 3 years they are still nice and sharp but I hide them from my family. The quality seem to be great. I have made many quilts and sewn for a lot of grandkids. I am thinking of getting a pair for my girls

Like cutting through butter!
I bought these Gingher Spring Action scissors for my mother, after she began complaining about how difficult it is cut fabric. Not only do these scissors cut like a dream, they are beautiful! She is now able to cut easily though all textures without cramping pain.
I recently used them to cut through four layers of fleece and I'm hooked! It was like cutting through butter! I Love these scissors and will be ordering a pair for myself.

Great for arthritic hands
I like to sew but have arthritis in my hands that makes them extremely sore. These sissors are sharp and a good weight but also spring back so all I have to do is push down. Makes is easier for an old broad. Used a coupon for a great price.

Sharp, but hurts hand
I got these and just used them the other day for the first time. I was cutting a skirt out of satin, so nothing real hard, but the base of my thumb is pretty sore because of the handle, and the "spring action" isn't that springy. I think they're really overrated for the price. They did cut pretty nicely, but if I'm sore just from 2 layers of satin, imagine what heaver material would do.

okay for hobbyists
I got these on 40% to replace a lost spring-loaded Fiskars pair. I cut 3-5 garments a day so productivity and ease of use are important to me.
Positives: longer blades with sharper tips that 'grip' fabric, solid lock mechanism
Negatives: heavy (bruised my fingers), overly tight 'factory' screw setting, no screw keys provided to adjust
I hope Gingher fixes these problems otherwise I find it unjustifiable to recommend them for professional use.

I had to get use to them
For me they felt akward the first time I used them due to the spring. BUT, once I became accostomed to them, they became my favorite scissors. They cut beautifully and are easy to use. The price was wonderful as I got them at 40% off.
