Dull from the get-go
These shears are garbage and altogether unusable. They come out of the package extremely dull. They will just fray your fabric. Save your time and your money and go get a pair of Fiskars pinking shears instead. They work immeasurably better for less than half of the price.

I purchased these particular pinking shears because I thought Gingher was the best available. I guess that only applies to scissors.

Very nice scissors
They are very nice scissors. I think they are a little short, but like them all the same. That is the only reason for the rating of 4. Very sturdy.

Heavy duty pinking
I love all my Gingher scissors. Just added to my collection with this heavy duty pinking sheer scissor. Love the heft of these scissors. I take my time with them for perfect lined up cuts.

Gingher Pinking Shears
Absolute garbage !!...what use to be "the" brand for scissor is now no better then a $2 pair. Does not have a smooth shear action. The lower finger hole is too small to though 3 finger in. (I have small fingers). Nice & Shiny and useless. It is going back. This this the second disappointing experience with a trusted brand. Get a real Scissor, get a Kai.

I HAD such high hopes!
I absolutely love my ghinger dressmaking shears. They were a gift and I couldn't believe I'd ever lived without them. So I bought these. Not in the same league at all. I'm not sure they were ever really sharp. But after using them a couple times they're really cumbersome and difficult to cut with. Very disappointed!

I have almost all the Gingher Scissors. Different holiday wish list filled. lol That being said, I LOVE all my Gingher scissors, EXCEPT my Pinking Shears! I was SO INCREDIBLY ECSTATIC to finally get my Ginghers Pinkinf Shears for my birthday. I went to use them first few cuts, on regular cotton fabric, Smooth! Then the trouble started. ANYTHING more than one layer of cotton and they can't do it. Delicate fabrics do horrible and unravel like crazy. So as hard as it is to say, I HATE MY GHINGER PINKING SHEARS!!! My fingers have blisters from trying to use them. I called the store and all they could do was exchange them. The person who purchased them did not keep the receipt, and paid cash. The new ones are WORSE than the first pair. I didnt think that was even possible. The cheap Fiskars I grabbed, when out of town working, work better than my expensive Ginghers. They are now a high $ paper weight. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Not what Gingher is know for
I just bought them and I wish I had tried them in the store. The are terrible and I will be returning these tomorrow and buying a different brand. i own other gingher shears and they are wonderful but these let me down big time!

Perfect for Finishing Edges
I have used Ginghers for almost 15 years and have been nothing but pleased at the quality and performance. These were a Christmas Gift from my husband and I while I'm use to using a Rotary Cutter with pinking blade these shears still cut preciously through multiple layers. My mom has never used these and tried them out and now is wanting a pair. I cannot say enough good things about the Gingher brand. The key is care!

Didn't cut my fabric, not even lightweight
I thought it was just me, but seeing these reviews I know it wasn't. I have other shears by Gingher and love them, so when I needed new Pinking shears, I bought these (on sale of course). Yikes! I tried to cut a medium weight toile fabric and the shears just folded the fabric between the blades. They didn't cut anything. Then I tried them on lightweight muslin. Same problem...they didn't cut. So I returned them to the store asap. The company should do a review since I'm sure Joann's had to send them back. No one could use the ones I returned. Did someone forget to sharpen them? They should last for a long time at this price, but mine made a quick trip back to the store.

Durable that will last forever
Love these scissors they are well made and will last a long time. My only complaint is that they were stiff when I first got then and needed to be broken in a bit.

I don't like using them
These kill my hands after using for just minutes. I wish I would have kept my plastic handled Fiskars instead. Save your money, and your hands.
