A misty moment
"Mist in the Mountains" was a bargello quilt as you go pattern that I finally decided to work on. There are 19 different fabrics, but the hardest fabric to find was one to represent the mist. This cotton shimmer foil white gold was perfect for this project.

Pretty and thick fabric
This fabric is really pretty, and it’s thicker than other cotton fabrics I’ve bought, which makes it less see-through. Only problem would be that it sheds a little bit of shimmer/glitter onto your hands when you work with it. (It’s easy to wash off though)

Beautiful color, but don’t use OxiClean
The gold shimmer on this fabric is so pretty. When I initially washed it, my washer malfunctioned and didn’t get the fabric softener out. I ended up with faint blue stains all over the fabric. So, I let it soak in OxiClean for a few hours to try to get the blue out. Much to my dismay, I ended up pulling out plain white quilting cotton. The OxiClean completely dissolved the beautiful gold shimmer! So so sad. This fabric is so pretty, but I wouldn’t recommend it for projects that could be at risk of being stained.
