It's easy to put together. And it is serrated. Cuts through bone with no problems, and such an easy wash-up. My 14 yr old son uses it to cut up chicken for dinner. Definitely would make a great gift for anyones kitchen.

We have used it to cut hams and turkeys. It makes cutting meat so easy. It's easy to grip and doesn't hurt your hand. I love that it comes with a storage case. It's so easy to store away now. This is a great electric knife to have, and definitely needed for the upcoming holidays.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lightweight and easy to use, this electric knife is just what I was looking for! Cuts smoothly, evenly, and quickly through an oven-baked roast beef, roast pork, and turkey breast. And the heavy-duty fork is very useful in holding the meat/poultry still while slicing. Weekends are my time to experiment with new recipes, and this Hamilton Beach Electric Knife Set is nudging me on to be more creative!

The blades are very sharp and it cuts very efficiently. I was able to easily and quickly carve up a ham. The blades assemble and release easily. The unit, blades, and included fork store neatly in a convenient case. Overall it has a sturdy feel to it and works as well as expected. The only possible negative is I would prefer a longer cord. It has not been a problem for me, but sometimes an outlet may not be close and a longer cord could be helpful.
