How To Get It
The Dritz 1.5'' Heavy Stretch Waistband Elastic White is a stiff and super strong stretch elastic. This pack contains heavy stretch waistband elastic which is 1.5 inches wide and is perfect for making cuff bands, waistbands and jacket waistbands. It is ideal for use with heavier fabrics. Simply insert it into casings or stitch directly on the wrong side of fabrics for best results. Machine washable and dryable, this white elastic is also chlorine bleach-safe.

Waistband elastic
Used this for a christmas pjs project. Using this made the waistband more comfortable then just using regular elastic. I would definitely use this again.

I haven't sewn with this elastic yet; I do believe it is exactly what I need to replace the elastic in a mens track suit pant. The amount of elastic in the package was perfect. 4 *'s since I haven't used it yet.

I can wear my beaded skirt with confidence.
I had a pair of very wide legged, cotton/polyester blend pillazo pants. I cut the inside seam and turned it into a skirt. I then fringed the sides and embellished the fringe with beautiful glass beads and charms. The skirt was stunning but a little heavy. I didn't want it falling to my knees while dancing so I bought Dritz 1 and 1/2 inch heavy waistband elastic and replaced the existing waistband and I now wear the skirt with complete confidence.

Just the right thing
The fitted sheet I love didn't fit the mattress, but Joann had the solution as usual. I sewed the heavy elastic on the corners snd now there is no problem with the sheet coming off. The 1 1/2 inch width was a great find.

Have been using elastic to stabilize stretch pant waist bands. The negative is stretch elastic has a short life. I was looking for the braided elastic which didn’t seem to have a slot for 1-1/2 braided.

Excellent quality.
The knit fabric and elastic I purchased. were both high quality. Was very impressed with the knit material after washing, constructing the garment and wearing. It did not stretch out of shape at all and the elastic for the waste band did not curl.
