The Heidi Swapp Minc Foil Applicator & Starter Kit is a heated system for foil application. This foil applicator gives professional and gorgeous foil effects that amplifies the look of your DIY projects. It has six settings, four rollers and motor directions going forward and reverse. You can choose from a number of items from Heidi Swapp to embellish or create your own design by simply printing from a toner based printer such as a laser printer, sold separately.

Used Machine was reaceives
The product I received was missing pieces and the folder that came with it was used. The machine also had a small dent. I didn’t have time to drive back to the store and needed to use it for my projects so I kept it like that.

My foil applicator doesn't work!!!
You sold me a foil applicator machine that doesn't work. I think you sold me a machine that someone returned because it didn't work. The foil sheet came wih an already cutted part. Really? I want my money back.

Love this starter kit!
I bought this to foil my wedding invitation and this thing saved me so much money on my wedding invite. Initially bought a regular laminator to foil n it just didn’t cut it, the foil wasn’t sticking too well. I just wish I went straight to this n saved me $40. I honestly recommend this.

Started small and was hooked
I started foiling with the small version of this machine but I was instantly hooked and wanted to venture to bigger projects. I love the minc. The results are fairly consistent and better than other laminators I have tried. The only downside is the burning smell but I can get over it once I see the beautiful foiled pieces it creates.

Works like a charm!
I bought this to make foil art prints with, and I'm very pleased with it so far! I purchased some super smooth paper to use with it (Neenah Exact Index), and did a test with each heat setting (for the Neenah paper, the #2 setting seems to give the best result). The foil prints I've made with this machine are just as good or better than the foil prints I've ordered from a professional print shop! Which is exactly why I bought it, so I can make those prints myself and have more foil colors to choose from. :)

Love it but......
I've used it less than 10 times and the rollers inside are really messed up. I get heavy line marks on anything I foil, and I use only what comes with it and their foil. there was pink sticky stuff like glue that came out of the machine all over the outside of the plastic carrier sheet. Foil doesn't always stick. I emailed company but not good customer service. Taking back to exchange and hope it's just a bad one...

rollers stuck
used the machine a few (less than 5) times and the rollers got stuck with the folder inside. don't have to say what a mess. since the warranty had expired, it is now in the trash. what a waste of money.

Perfect Results every time!
I bought a cheap laminator first because this was on the pricey side, but I got inconsistent results from the laminator. I tried the Minc applicator with minc foil and I got consistent results every time. Don't use the folder with any ink that isn't covered with foil though...The ink will transfer to the folder and come off on your next project.

LOVE this tool!
I cannot believe there are negative reviews on this tool. I have had nothing but success with mine, and actually bought the Minc in both sizes (mini and full size). You have to be sure to read the heat setting directions based on what weight of paper you are putting through to get the best results. I love Heidi Swapp stuff and this does not disappoint!

Machine is nice when it works...
Performance isn't consistent. I'll foil one thing and it comes out beautifully. I'll try another item and the foil only half sticks. You can see parts where the toner shows through the foil. I always let the machine fully warm up and only use the supplies specifically made for this machine. I've used the machine only a handful of times since I purchased it late last year (from JoAnn) and now every time I turn the machine on it squeaks..constantly. There must be something wrong with the rollers inside. I've attempted to contact American Crafts customer service but to no avail. Not really pleased about this. Yes, this machine does smell (as mentioned by others) when it's powered on, but the smell isn't any more overwhelming than any other laminator out on the market.

Poor quality
I bought this less than a year ago (7 months to be exact). I recently took out of the box to really start utilizing the Minc. I only completed foiling less than 10 cards, over a period of 3 days when it stopped heating. I went to turn it on and it just would never heat again. I've tried troubleshooting the issue but no help. And there is no return since I've had it more than 6 months (6 month warranty). I'm highly disappointed in the product quality. The few cards I've done were great but for what I paid, I'm really not impressed.

I bought this recently and just love it. We did have to buy a toner printer as well, but that will make crafting more convenient.
I have barely begun to use it but can't wait to make the things that are dancing around in my head!

I got the Minc when it first came out. I took advantage of a sale and it was worth it!!! Machine is too easy to use and follow instructions. I don't understand how slipping something through some rollers can be so difficult for some. Get it!!!! You'll be HAPPY YOU DID
