DIRECTIONS:
- Trim a piece of white cardstock to 5.5" x 8.5". Fold in half to create card base.
- Stamp the Eucalyptus background with Hero Arts Intense Black Ink on front of card base.
- Trim a piece of watercolor paper to 3.5" x 4.75. Stamp the protea flower image in the center using black pigment ink. Sprinkle on clear embossing powder and heat emboss with heat tool.
- Color image using Taffy, Fruit Punch and Creamsicle Reactive Inks as well as Moss Liquid watercolor. To use the Reactive Inks as watercolors, just apply some ink to a non-porous surface, spritz with water and pick up color with paintbrush.
- Paint the background of stamped panel using Taffy Reactive Ink as a watercolor paint.
- Adhere panel to card base with foam adhesive.
- Stamp "Happy Mother's Day" message on strip of white cardstock using black ink. Trim a banner tail on the left end. Adhere to card base with foam adhesive.
- Embellish with a scattering of iridescent sequins.
JOANN HACKS:
- Add dimension to your flower by painting a darker color on the bottom of each petal and fading out to a lighter shade at the top.
- Use an anti-static powder tool when heat embossing to avoid embossing powder sticking in unwanted places.
