Great product
I like Aunt Marha's products. These work great. if you are having issues with the transfer, put the pencil in the freezer (as recommended on the package) for a few minutes

Indespensible for transferring patterns!
Wonderful tools for using with my "homemade light box- an empty 9"x11" wooden picture frame with glass seated in,and a small lamp placed under it on the floor to trace my patterns through the glass where my work is laid.I've used these forany years and it pays to take a little time working with a bit of the material you are using and adjusting/tweaking your particular iron heat settings to get best results.And a little patience if new to them.I also love the "disappearing" dressmakers marker(makes a purple color markings that dissapear totally in a few hours).Joanns has them too!

Doesn't work!
I got these to use for custom cross stitch work. I tried several times with the pencils and tracing pad and it did not transfer to the fabric. Don't waste your money or time!

Hot Iron Transfer Pencils are so much fun!
I began purchasing these pencils awhile back as an alternative to trying to draw on fabric with a pencil or pen. It's great, you find a design you like, tape it to the window, take your paper (I use copy paper) and tape it over your design and just trace the design with the Hot Iron Transfer Pencils. I use them to draw designs to iron onto tea towels to embroider!

Sharp idea to include this product
I want to take vintage pics and use the outline for simple embroidery - shabby chic on pillows etc. I saw the ink pens etc in the art & quilt department but they were for drawing or marking. Voila - not only does JoAnns have a great selection of Aunt Martha products but these pencils were exactly what I wanted. The instructions are very clear and THEY WORKED
