SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Cardstock, assorted colors
  • Floral wire
  • Green floral tape
  • Scissors
  • Needle nose pliers (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Begin by cutting out 2" long leaf shapes out of green cardstock. Cut at least 50+ leaves depending on desired length of garland. Poke wire through leaf to create a stem.
  2. Large flowers: Cut out basic flower shapes about 2"-3" in diameter. Layer two flowers on top of one another and poke floral wire through center. Cut small circle from white cardstock and cut fringes on edges. Place white circle on top of flower shapes. Poke floral wire through center of circle. Twist wire to secure in place. Fold and curl paper petals to look more realistic.
  3. Small flowers: Cut small rectangle of purple cardstock. Make small cuts along one long edge to create a fringe. Cut an 8" piece of floral wire and fold in half. Poke end of wire through one end of purple rectangular cardstock. Roll up purple cardstock around wire stem. Wrap floral tape around wire and bottom half of rolled purple cardstock. Curl fringe on top half of rolled purple cardstock.
  4. Begin layering leaves and twisting stems together. Add in flowers throughout. Continue to add leaves and flowers until the garland reaches desired length.
  5. Wrap floral tape around wire stems to hide twisted wires.
