Paint Poured Plant Stands

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Oval unfinished wood plaque
  • Pourable acrylic paint
  • Painter's tape
  • Hot glue gun/glue gun sticks
  • 4 wood ball knobs
  • Plastic cups
  • Latex gloves
  • Plastic or metal container

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cover the bottom of the wood plaque with painters tape to avoid getting paint on the bottom of the plaque & place in container, propping plaque on plastic cups so paint will run off plaque.
  2. Pour different colors of paint in one cup, layering the colors. You can use as many or as few colors as you want.
  3. Pour the cup of paint over the plaque. Tip the plaque to cover the entire area.
  4. Once you have move the plaque around enough to achieve your desired look, prop it on plastic cups to dry.
  5. Since the paint is so thick, it will take a long time to dry. Do not touch to check for dryness.
  6. Once dried, remove tape and hot glue 4 knobs to the bottom to act as legs.
