Before this I had used a sewing machine a few times for hems but not a digital. I worried that this one would be intimidating...I was very wrong! After reading the instructions and getting to know the parts and features, I am soooo happy for this machine. All of the different stitching options are a dream for a diy crafter such as myself. Easy to set up and use. Def recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy setup and Easy to use [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, I haven’t used a sewing machine since high school with that said this is easy to setup and easy to use. I was very surprised how easy it was and super clear. I wanted this sewing machine to help sew mastectomy pillows for people with breast cancer and I think this is the perfect machine for my project. It has 100 built in stitches and the self threading is the best thing ever!! I also love the start and stop button. This is a well made and user friendly sewing machine. I absolutely love it!

The setup instructions are super easy for someone who's practically a beginner all over again, to get started using it comfortably. I had my favorite pair of shorts with a split open seam and had it fixed up, looking like new in no time. I can't wait to tackle some more projects and try some more stitches. The most useful thing for me was the needle threader. I thought I was going to have to thread that needle myself manually but the needle threader is amazing!!!

I'm used to the old dials and levers so going from that to this was a bit weird to me but I very soon got comfortable with using it. The 100 stitch patterns is a bit overwhelming at first as I know I'm most likely never going to use them all but the fact that I have them just in case is nice. The stitch pattern "cheat sheet" is a massive help so i always know what stitch pattern to use and the display showing me what the pattern is, what foot to use etc takes so much guess work and frustration out. The threader is nice but hand threading has always been easier and faster for me. At least for now, I'm sure as I get older that skill will disappear. The start/stop and the reverse buttons being so close to the needle is incredibly useful, I never knew I needed that! I dont think I'll be able to go back to the traditional dial sewing machines after using the Loft 100. It's just too good and after some use, just so simple to use! Easily my favorite machine and I highly recommend it!

I haven’t used it a lot yet but I definitely plan to! Easy set up & it’s more aesthetically pleasing than other sewing machines that I have seen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Such a nice machine [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They really thought of the user experience when they designed this machine. I hadn’t sewn for a few years and it was so easy to get started again with this Janome model. I don’t remember threading the machine ever being this easy. Arrows on the machine indicate the thread’s path clearly. A very detailed guide is included that explains every single thing you’ll ever need to know about the machine as well. A threader is included and there is a thread cutter built-in on the left of the machine. Whenever you’re done with a stitch, just lift your piece up and brush it against the left side of the machine for the thread to automatically cut off. There’s no need to grab scissors every time. I love it! This sewing machine can make a bunch of specialty stitches and it’s easy to switch from one another. The screen indicates which foot to use with each stitch to avoid confusion. A plastic stitch chart is included and clips right on the machine for convenience. It fold back down for storage. I also appreciate that this model come in this gray and blue color. My 9 year old son has expressed interest in learning how to sew and I doubt that would have happened if I had gotten a pink machine. He was able to use the machine right after a quick lesson, that’s how easy it is to use it. My favorite feature has to be the Start/Stop button with the speed adjustment. I much prefer this to the pedal (though you have the option to use the pedal instead of that’s what you’re more comfortable with). Overall, this machine is super user friendly, great for beginners and advanced seamstresses alike. The specialty stitches I tried all came out beautifully. I just love this machine and you can’t beat a 25 years warranty. My only wish is that it came with a hard plastic cover instead of the vinyl bag.

After using this machine for a few weeks, I can confidently say that this is an upgrade from my old machine which died a few months ago. The instructions are easy to read and I picked up the new features relatively quickly. One thing I love about this machine is that it has convenience in mind. The built-in threader makes the setup process a breeze! Threading a bobbin is also simple and easy to set up. Also, I No longer have to pull any levers to change the direction of the stitch. With the computerized sewing machine, there are buttons right by the needle that start, stop, and reverse the stitch! The 100 Computerized Sewing machine also comes equipped with so many pretty stitches that you can change just with a press of a button. I especially love the floral stitches! I’ve started quilting just to try out all the amazing patterns that this machine offers. To sum it up, these features from Janome are truly top-of-the-line and made my sewing experience so much more enjoyable. I would recommend this machine to anybody who sews regardless of skill level.
