great for costumes
This is the perfect fabric for costumes! Pilgrim costume collars, Queen Anne collars, and Nun's coronets. It pleats well, hold it's shape, and irons easily. Stage makeup removes easily by spot cleaning with a little water and detergent, even though it is a dryclean only fabric.

Great for crafting too!
I have childhood memories of my mom making Christmas candles with this fabric, but I never knew the name of it. I've been all over looking for a woven mesh that was somewhat stiff, but I didn't recall her doing a starching process. I even put the question out on the Internet DIY site with no results. Finally I was taking a walk through one of the super-size JoAnne stores close to home and found it. I was thrilled. It's just right. The candle is made by cutting graduated sizes of octagonal shaped stars with pinking shears, then use a small sprinkling of glitter, and then glue small aurora borealis sequins on each tip. Sweetly nostalgic!
